The Zhu-Rong v418 Chinese Pistol is a small gun in Fallout 3. It is a unique incendiary version of the Chinese Pistol.

The Zhu-Rong is a unique incendiary pistol, created by L.O.B. Enterprises for the People's Republic of China. The v418 is the final version of the project (slated for mass production).

[edit] Characteristics

It is more powerful than either the 10mm Pistol or the standard Chinese Pistol. Although its damage might not be quite up to par with other more powerful sidearms, the v418 is still a decent weapon if only because of its unique incendiary properties- it has the longest range of all incendiary weapons, aside from the Heavy Incinerator. One weakness is that the v418 has a slower rate of fire than its non-unique counterpart.

[edit] Location

The Zhu-Rong pistol can only be found in L.O.B. Enterprises. It is found behind a Very Hard locked door (requires 100 lockpick) in the CEO's office in the case on his desk. The key for the case is inside his desk. It is also possible to reach the case by working your way around the edge of the destroyed top floor until you are on the other side of the locked door.

• The damage from this weapon is not affected by the Pyromaniac perk, as it is not on the form list that determines the weapons affected by that perk.
• This weapon is very effective at clearing gas leaks.
• Several terminal entries detailing the development of the Zhu-Rong pistol can be found in the L.O.B. Enterprises building.
• Killing an NPC with the gun outside of VATS, providing they die from a shot instead of the incendiary effect of the gun, usually causes them to explode.

• The name is a reference to the ancient Chinese God of Fire, Zhu Rong.

[edit] Bugs

• There is a bug where only the first shot from the pistol in VATS does any damage. Once an enemy is on fire, additional hits from the Zhu-Rong seem to have no effect.
• The Pyromaniac perk has no effect on the Zhu-Rong, although the Zhu-Rong is listed as being one of the affected weapons in the Fallout 3 Official Game Guide.
