A 30-year-old scribe assigned to the Archives, Scribe yearling has been transferred to a mission to gather pre-War knowledge from the wasteland. She is young, friendly, and the polar opposite of Scribe Rothchild. She's very dedicated and tends to be a bit shy.[1]
When speaking with Scribe Bigsley, he implies that she was assigned to the Arlington Library because she clashed with her superiors.

Notes
Edit
- She says multiple times in the game that she belongs to the "Order of the Word", even though such an order doesn't exist, and she actually belongs to the "Order of the Quill". This is most probably a developer oversight due to a late stage of development change in name.[2][3]
Appearances
Edit
Scribe Yearling appears only in Fallout 3.
Behind the scenes
Edit
Yearling's name and her job of collecting books may be a reference to Yearling Books, an imprint of the publishing company Random House.
