The yao guai cave is a small cave that can be reached by going through the Cliffside cavern's raiders outpost. At the end of the cave, the player character can find the Nuka-grenade schematics.

Notes
Edit
- The cave has six yao guai, with a seventh wounded one just outside its entrance (in Cliffside cavern). More may appear on higher difficulties.
- The yao guai cave is not to be confused with the yao guai den or the yao guai tunnels. The cave is not connected to the den or the tunnels in any way.
- The perk Animal Friend is a smart choice to have before entering the yao guai cave. With the perk, none of the yao guai will attack and it'll be just a matter of going in and retrieving the schematics.
- There are three frag mines placed at the entrance of the cave.
Appearances
Edit
The yao guai cave appears only in Fallout 3
Bugs
Edit
- One of the yao guai may spawn in the middle of the room's main rock pillar when the map loads. It will show up on radar and even becomes alerted to the Lone Wanderer. [verified]
