The Yangtze Memorial[1] is a pre-War landmark in the Mojave Wasteland.

Background

This memorial is a monument dedicated to American soldiers who gave their lives during the Yangtze Campaign in China at the Yangtze River. Due to its age and lack of maintenance, it is old and weather beaten, but the hand painted signs around it proclaiming "Danger, Deathclaws Ahead" are quite new, most likely put up by residents of the nearby settlement of Sloan.

LayoutEdit
The memorial being in the middle of the area surrounded by steps down and away from the fenced in section. Hollowed-out rocks (one with a peace sign) and graves to the south. "Warning: Deathclaws Ahead!" sign to the East and an abandoned shack to the northwest. There is also a duffle bag behind the memorial.
There is also a coyote patrolling around the memorial and radscorpions to the west.

- The Yangtze Memorial looks similar to the Mount Soledad Memorial near San Diego, CA.
BugsEdit
- As you approach the memorial, you are attacked by radscorpions and giant radscorpions. The screen starts to flicker black and at times goes totally black apart from your health bar and a few other things. This seems to be fixable by reloading a close save and/or when you walk away from the memorial.[verified]
- When near the memorial (northwest) and you are standing on top of a small cliff, Victor, the robot that saved the Courier, can sometimes be seen in mid air, and he then falls to his death at the bottom of the cliff. Even though he dies, a "new" Victor can be met at Novac or New Vegas, because his personality is transferred to another Securitron robot.[verified]
