Xander root is a consumable item in Fallout: New Vegas.
Characteristics
Xander root is commonly found growing around trails, rocks, and around the mouths of caves as well as in the open desert. It is visible via a tall green stalk, the root partially protruding out of the ground. Once collected, xander root can be used in the crafting of both healing powder and stimpaks. The roots will regrow after being harvested.

Locations
- Three can be found outside the Goodsprings schoolhouse, although one of the plants only spawns after beginning the By a Campfire on the Trail quest.
- Four can be found north and south of the broken radio tower atop the cliffs directly behind Goodsprings source, along with some broc flowers.
- There are six plants scattered around Lone Wolf Radio, south of Goodsprings source, found while proceeding towards the NCR checkpoint on the outskirts of Primm.
- Several are found on Pine Ravines pathway, a trail south of Jacobstown, leading off of Nevada State Route 157 to Ranger Station Foxtrot and Red Rock Canyon.
- Several in the area surrounding Ruby Hill Mine and Silver Peak Mine.
- A dozen or more can be found at deathclaw promontory, on the east side of the river, north of Cottonwood Cove.
- One or two can be found around the hollowed-out rock near the tribal village.
- One can be found in front of bloodborne cave, directly ahead of the fast travel location.
- Two can be found along the trail leading away from Barton Thorn's camper.
- One can be found near the overturned trailers while approaching Nipton from the northeast.
- Higgs Village. Up to six can be found growing alongside #108 in
