Will Brandice was the son of William and Sheila Brandice who resided in the Brandice's house in Grayditch.[1]
Background[]
Will's father William was a former Enclave member who deserted from Camp Navarro, fleeing across the continent with his family. They hopped from settlement to settlement out of fear of Enclave pursuit. As a result, Will was never able to form long-lasting friendships, a fact his parents were painfully aware of. When they reached Grayditch in October 2276, Will became fast friends with the neighboring child, Bryan Wilks, who was approximately a year younger than him. This new friendship became another factor for his parents' decision to settle down in the small town.[2] Together, Will and Bryan explored every corner of the settlement and even shared comic books with each other.[3]
The fun and games did not last for them, nor for the rest of the settlement. Giant ants had always infested the surrounding area, but they initially did not pose a threat. However, following the arrival of Doctor Lesko in Grayditch in Novemember 2276, they began growing more and more aggressive and even turned into fire ants.[4][5] With their safety growing more and more at risk, in February 2277, Will's father began teaching him and his mother how to wield firearms so that they could protect themselves in case of emergency.[6]
By June 2277, everything had fallen apart. Will and his parents were trapped inside their house by the ants and cut off from the rest of the settlement.[7] Ultimately, Will's father made his way into Marigold station and died there, while Will and his mother simply disappeared from the settlement and are nowhere to be found.

Will is referred to as "Frank" in one terminal entry.[6] Bryan Wilks confirms that there were only three people in the Brandice family, indicating that this is a typo.[8]
