Wildmen are hostile NPCs encountered in The Pitt, both in the area around The Pitt Bridge and the Steelyard. The origin of this group is unknown, but Everret calls them 'crazies', so it is possible they have gone insane due to TDC.

[edit] Characteristics
Wildmen are similar to Raiders found in the Capital Wasteland in terms of behavior and dialogue. They are typically equipped with low-level weaponry (melee weapons, pistols, and the occasional submachine gun) and wear Merc Outfits (although one or two Wildmen can be found wearing Gamma Shield Armor). They will often be found in groups of 2 or more.
Wildmen are inhabitants of the Pitt that have suffered mental degradation due to the Pitt's concentrated toxins but have not gone trog. In Sandra Kundanika's terminal she explains that a small percentage of the Pitt's citizens become crazy, Wildmen, and an even lower percentage become trogs.
Wildmen are on par with high-level Raiders or low-level Talon Company Mercs in terms of health and durability, but their combat skills are abysmally low.

[edit] Notes
If you agree to help Milly find Wild Bill, you will find a note on Wild Bills body where he writes that it is ironic that his fate will be met by "Wildmen", considering he is "Wild Bill".
[edit] Appearances
Wildmen appear in The Pitt add-on for Fallout 3.
