We were here before the fall....”
No Mutants Allowed is the oldest still-functioning Fallout website. It was founded in 1997 by Miroslav. It can be found at http://www.nma-fallout.com. Aside from the English version, the site comes also in French, German, Polish, Russian and Spanish.
The site offers many services to the Fallout community. Besides its forums, it hosts walkthroughs, pictures, and other assorted info for the first two games in the series: Fallout and Fallout 2, as well as the tactical spin-off Fallout Tactics. NMA also hosts modifications for the three aforementioned Fallout games, placing a spotlight on any particularly good ones.
The site also hosts leaked information about Van Buren, the canceled Fallout 3 project by Black Isle Studios, including the design documents, screenshots from the Van Buren tech demo and tech demo itself.
While the console shooter Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel was covered in site news during its development, no other information about the game can be found on the site, as it is not considered a proper Fallout game. Many site regulars including administrators and moderators are negative towards Fallout 3 being developed by Bethesda Softworks and don't consider it a proper sequel due to significant changes in gameplay, namely first person/third person perspectives and real time combat, the lack of which made the Fallouts what they were. Any members who defend Fallout 3 are regularly banned from the website. However, despite the dislike for the console Fallout spin-off and Bethesda's sequel, the site hosted and still hosts news for the titles.
Even though several aspects of Fallout: New Vegas are virtually identical to Fallout 3, news coverage for New Vegas is significantly less apathetic, due to the fact that the developer, Obsidian Entertainment, is made up of Black Isle members.
Behind the scenesEdit
Both Fallout Tactics and Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel include in-game "No Mutants Allowed" graffiti in reference to this site; an odd choice, given the site's attitude towards the games. Roshambo, an NMA ex-admin, was also featured in Tactics (a game he was vocal against before its release) as an old madman who urinated into other people's Nuka-Cola.
