It might not look like much, but it's what keeps us Westside locals independent. We started it a few years ago. I admit, we had a lot of trouble at first, but eventually we got some help from Tom Anderson with the Followers. We're finally to the point where the co-op members can start making money from sales instead of just breaking even.Ettienne

The Westside Co-op is a grocery store in the Mojave Wasteland, located inside Westside and run by Clayton Ettienne.

Background

Ettienne and the Westside locals set up the Westside Co-op to to pool resources and better organize their work. With help from a member of the Followers of the Apocalypse, named Tom Anderson, Westside grew from subsistence farming up to a stable, self-sufficent farming community independent from the NCR. The locals grow enough food to feed themselves and to export to other factions and travelers, thus meaning that they don't have to rely on merchants for food. Anyone can buy food from the Co-op, but the profits are shared between the farmers.

More recently, Westside has gotten involved in tense negotiations with the NCR over the siphoning of their water. One part of this conflict involved a murder of an NCR Trooper investigating into the water shortage

Layout

The Co-op is a small store that sells food and cooking supplies. There is a locked safe behind the counter that (requires a Lockpick skill of 50 to open) and a Karma loss for picking it.

Notes

  • If you blackmail Tom Anderson into "sharing" parts of the co-op's profit during the quest The White Wash, you will receive 100 to 200 caps when you talk to Ettienne every 24 hours.

Appearances

Westside Co-op appears only in Fallout: New Vegas.
