Virtual Strategic Solutions Inc., also known as Virtual Strategic Systems (abbreviated VSS Inc.), was a pre-War company that worked as a private contractor for the United States Armed Forces, developing virtual training aids.

Background[]

Before the war, Virtual Strategic Solutions worked as a private contractor for the U.S. Army, developing virtual training aids for various combat situations. The company installed the Anchorage Reclamation simulation in a Washington, D.C. facility. It was also responsible for installing a VR system in the Mount Desert Island Naval Facility which was later overwritten by DiMA to serve as secure storage for memories he did not have adequate space for over time.[1][2]

According to a member of the Appalachian Enclave, Virtual Strategic Solutions was the subject of a conspiracy theory that it was responsible for creating a simulation designed to subdue the entire population of Earth in its "game."[3]

Appearances[]

Virtual Strategic Solutions is mentioned in the Fallout 3 add-on Operation: Anchorage, the Fallout 4 add-on Far Harbor, and in Fallout 76.
