Vault 70 was a Vault-Tec Vault located in Salt Lake City, Utah. As part of the Vault Experiment, all jumpsuit extruders in this Vault failed after 6 months.

In 2062, many Mormon congregations came together to purchase places in it. The combination between Mormon teachings regarding sexuality and the eventual total lack of clothing within the vault resulted in the single largest source of social data input during the Vault Experiment. After many interesting years, the Mormon ideology was fully re-embraced by the vault residents, who lived in enforced innocence until the opening of the vault in 2190, when they founded the town of New Jerusalem.
