For the Vault as it would have been in Van Buren, see Vault 29 (Van Buren). |
Vault 29 is one of the Vaults built by Vault-Tec. Located on the West Coast, the Vault housed children, mostly teenagers, from affluent families.[1]
Background[]
As part of the Vault experiment, it was meant to be populated by young children, with the original inhabitants being no more than 15 years old.[Non-game 1] Harold emerged from Vault 29 in 2090.[Non-game 2] Trisha Miller, a Vault-Tec University student, was concerned that her assignment would be a janitor in Vault 29 on the West Coast, with "a bunch of obnoxious rich teenagers."[1]
Notes[]
In Fallout, Harold mentions being from a Vault, but does not specify which Vault.[2] The Fallout Bible is the only source that states that Harold emerged from it in 2090,[Non-game 2] and also noted that the Vault contained only children with adults diverted elsewhere.[Non-game 1]
Appearances[]
Vault 29 is mentioned specifically in Fallout 76 and the Fallout Bible, and generically in Fallout.
