Virgo II Lunar Lander in Museum of Technology
Virgo II was the Virgo II Lunar Lander. It was the first lunar landing, making contact with the lunar surface on July 20th 1969. The crew of this USSA spacecraft consisted of Captain Richard Wade, Captain Mark Garris, and Captain Michael Hagen. The astronauts became the first humans to walk on a celestial body other than Earth. On November 14 of the same year, Virgo III Lander "Valiant 12" also landed on the Moon.
The lander later ended up on display in the Museum of Technology in Washington, DC.
Notes
The landing happened four days after the real-world landing. The mission is the Fallout world's counterpart to the real world's Apollo 11.
