Hello, you do not know who I am, because I don't contribute to the wiki, but simply watch over it. Anyways, I have two new suggestions for new wiki names. The first that came to mind was NUKAPEDIA with Take the Leap beneath it. Yes, there's not really a name that stands out. Looking at the votes, Fallout Universe, GECKipedia and Nukapedia would be up for a final vote, but I wouldn't be made happy with that. I feel we should stick to just Fallout Wiki and maybe in the future someone will have an ingenious suggestion. I'm also curious as to what Kingclyde has to say about it. Hope you don't mind me responding... I read your post to Js, for me it seems that some are abbreviated like "PE" whereas others "PER" or some even "Perception". Personally I'd change 'em all to the full name - "Intelligence" just for simplicity and clarification and consistency, but that's just me. Listen, as you said, people are entitled to their opinions. I won't change my opinion because others do not like it, neither should anyone for that matter. I appreciate you posting to me about this. Here's my stance: I think you're a cool person also, and I think your usefulness in chat is undeniably high. You're constantly there and you're quite respectful too, from what I've seen. In addition, you have been making main namespace edits that are helpful. I simply want to see bigger contributions, not saying that your current ones are totally insignificant or anything. Having someone to look up to is perfectly fine... it helps build a foundation to work up from. However, you shouldn't let that person become a narrow minded horizon where their opinion lords over your emotions and point of view. He was only showing a little criticism with additional concerns over one of your comments. (I sort of saw it as a threat also, to be honest.) Criticism should never drag you down... it should help you grow and learn just what it takes to become the best. I gave you a neutral vote also; doesn't mean I don't think you are worthy of a chat mod position. (Just look at all of the positive votes towards you.) What I'm trying to say is, strive to become the best. Sometimes you just have to live with criticism and either learn from the experience or let it drag you back down to the bottom.

FONV Gameplay bugs: faction armor unequipping Edit
Hi, you have reverted my change on the "unequip faction armor" bug. i extended the description because it just ran into this bug and it looked incomplete to me. It sounds like if you have this bug you have to re-equip any faction armor to fix it, which is not true. i wanted to point out that you have to re-equip a armor from the same faction that caused the bug to fix it. In my case i had used a Brotherhood power armor that was not unequipped correctly. the next NCR post attacked me for no visible reason (i didnt have any reputation at NCR). With a NCR armor they did not attack me, but as soon as i unequip it they did. i tried equipping a legion armor multiple times, but it helped nothing. i had to use player.additem to get a brotherhood armor and as soon as i equipped and unequipped it the NCR did not attack me anymore. also changing the reputation does not help with that bug, if you are appear to be dressed wrong to other factions, they will attack you even if you are "idolized" by them. i have tried it and can confirm that setreputation is not a fix for this. i have read some threads about people that got this bug and needed to load earlier saves or restart their game, a good description on that fix could help.

Achievement Boosting Edit
I hate to do this, but a user has brought it to my attention that you might be boosting for VB badges. After we investigated into the matter, we found quite a few VB pages where you have added some questionable content, even one where you made 10 different edits within half an hour that had to be reverted by one of our Admins. And another one here and here where you added a link just to remove it soon after. Here are the pages that are working against you at the moment: [1][2][3][4] You can throw up a forum to discuss the reasons for these edits, but right now it looks like you might be boosting. I've been called in to place a verdict on this, and I find some of your edits questionable, but in no way warranting a ban. Your edits on the Spineless and Hex pages were a tad... awkward, haphazard and meaningless, and I advise against that in the future, but the other pages look fine, really. Nemerian Edit
Please don't make assumptions about me. I have never "hated" anybody here, and I never will. The reason I banned Nemerian is because for months now, he has been getting on every day just to make around 1-3 extremely minor edits that are usually reverted or fixed by other users shortly after being made. Even Clyde agreed with me that he might need a ban, just not a ban classified as achievement boosting. (Which I didn't ban him over if you read my ban-logs.) I wanted to give him a chance to take the warnings on his talk-page seriously, but his edits have not improved even in the slightest since then. The last straw was that most recent edit from him where he unnecessarily changed wording around and created false information and broken sentences. I stand by my ban. Yo Hawk, for some reason, chat crashed for me last night. Now whenever I join, none of your names come up, and the chat is just an empty box where I can type things. Tech demoEdit
What you want with the tech demo then? I've been never been able to go farther than the opening location and the vault. And the console command option (~) doesn't work properly. Only can activate it during the intro and when I then use it to get to a map, I end up in the starting location. Once in the demo it doesn't work anymore. how is making note of the fact that there is a limit to how much you can wager against ringo, and win, before your game will freeze up on you, causing you to lose any unsaved data, considered 'strategy'? it's useful information. is it the part where i made note of the exploit that ringo will continue to bet the same amount, once he reaches a certain point, that is considered strategy? how can i improve my editing technique when my edits are deleted and then reasoned with very general reprimands? what are you guys defining as strategy? ~~~kev~~~
- are bug sections still allowed on pages like these or are all bugs supposed to be listed on the bugs page instead? it's not just a freezing issue, the bug is more than that because there is a point just before the freezing point where ringo will not decrease his bid anymore when he loses. ~~~kev~~~
- on the page you mentioned there is a section that states; for non-player character-specific bugs, please see the respective non-player character article page. the edit i have been trying to make (without including strategy) details a bug that is specific to the NPC Ringo. there are also similar bugs correlated to other 'no game limit' NPCs who play caravan (such as Dale Barton), but their bet limits, before the freeze will occur, and where they will continue to bet the same amount after they've lost, appear to be different. when i first started researching this, i had ringo almost completely figured out, and someone else had made edits concerning dale's bug limits. back then, user:Gothemasticator had invited me to work on this topic. i would like to follow through with my research and edits on this subject, but all these reverts, conflicting information, and subjective guidelines are making it hard for me to do so. so, what is the solution? where does this bug information actually belong, and can i even make the edits without someone immediately deleting them instead of helping me modify them to be suitable to the guidelines? ~~~kev~~~

I remember that comment, it was one I posted on one of Agent c's blogs I think. I know it's at least partly responsible for it, because I've been around since New Vegas came out, so I know how it was between let's say November 2010 - October 2011. And I don't remember the word 'drama' mentioned even once in that timespan. Only thing that springs to mind is Tag's reconfirmation request. Otherwise it was all editing and people getting along in general. And there is also some negative aftermath from the split with key people leaving, like Ausir and Porter21. A lot of people need to find their new role in the wiki and get accustomed to it, like Clyde, me and the admins. So now we're without a game and people are bored. Editing isn't that interesting anymore, it's mostly perfecting stuff or some work on older games which only a handful of people want to do. Things like the Nuclear Moose and the polls help but looks like it's not enough. It will be a pretty long wait till the next Fallout, but we'll get by I think. Jspoel 20:43, May 7, 2012 (UTC)

If you were to look closer, I did not change any rule; I simply clarified it. Dolan-speak is a deliberate distortion of the English language - just as leet speak - and at that, it's a distortion that's becoming increasingly prominent. So, instead of misunderstandings because of the rules not stating this common phenomena as an example, I decided to clarify the rules; especially since the "leet" speak is disappearing. - I'm with Scarface on that. The occassional one-off isn't too annoying, but if you start repeatedly using Moronspeak, err, Dolanspeak, then you are being obnoxious and annoying to other users. As such, it falls under the leetspeek rule. Leetspeek is interpreted here sensu largo, including all other deliberate distortions of English language, like Dolanspeak and Ghetto slang.

Hello, HawK. This is a message that I will be circulating through Nukapedia's Sysops. A while back I had created a more suitable version of the Administrators' Discussion Board as an attempt to help regulate important matters that require immediate attention from the veteran users around Nukapedia. With Fallout 4 on the horizon, I would like to begin making this feature more widely embraced, so that we all are more comfortable and familiar with using it for when the time comes around that we'll need to look towards it the most. What I would like to see is for an example to be set for where certain matters should be discussed within our community, as well as creating an environment where users will know that their issues will be addressed in a timely and fair manner. What does this mean, exactly?
- Appropriate topics should be addressed within the ADB instead of the normal fora space. Not only is the ADB a general area to condense important topics, but it is also always kept at the top for easy access. (As well as having a place within the Community Messages.)
- All Administrators, Moderators, Patrollers, and Bureaucrats should make it a priority to check through the ADB at least once every few days or so. This is the duty of mantling the extra tools, after all, and is not too much to ask for.
- The ADB should make an appearance within new user's welcome message.
- If a topic within the fora has been made that is of significant importance and affects the wiki as a whole, these topics should be moved into the ADB.
- It is my hope that these requirements will help our community become more familiar with where they should go to have their grievances and ideas properly heard. Right now, the ADB has been largely ignored because the Sysops have also largely ignored it, and this is unacceptable at times when important matters such as this one are mostly by-passed except for a couple of people. With the chaos that is soon to come with the new title(s), all I am asking is for a bit of responsibility in making sure that we all recognize issues and ideas as they come up, and making sure that we do our parts in seeing them through. Thank you for reading, and I would greatly appreciate some feed-back. Once a general consensus has been reached, possible changes will be taken care of.

2nd Person PerspectiveEdit
Hello Hawk. I just wanted to thank you for working on removing the second person perspective from articles. One thing though, 'the player' is also a second person variation and shouldn't be used in the articles either. In addition, replacing the word 'you' with 'the Courier' is often clunky in most cases. My advice would be to try and re-write sentences without using any perspective at all; 1st (obviously), 2nd, or 3rd. Sometimes the use of 'the Courier' can't be avoided, but for the most part it can be removed as well. Let me know if you have any questions.

- 'The player' implies the person sitting in front of the screen, as does 'you' or 'we' (although the latter is first person). We are trying to write from 3rd person, which is the perspective of the character within the game.
