Hi there!Edit

FO1 intro Vault Boy

Welcome to the Vault!

Welcome to our Fallout wiki, and thank you for your contributions! There's a lot to do around here, so I hope you'll stay with us and make many more improvements.

Recent changes is a great first stop, because you can see what other people are editing right this minute, and where you can help.
If you haven't already, create a user page about yourself! If you do, we'll be able to know you better as a member of our community.
Questions? You can ask in the Forum or on the "discussion" page associated with each article, join the live chat in our IRC channel or post a message on my talk page!
Need help? The Help page has an outline of the site, and pages to help you learn how to edit. See the Vault's Policy page for general guidelines and code of conduct.
I'm really happy to have you here, and look forward to working with you!

Creating articles Edit

To create new pages, please use the article creation pages in the sidebar, like The Vault:Create Fallout 3 article. This way they will already come with the appropriate categories and templates. Ausir(talk) 17:24, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

Just a reminder, for places like Basie Avenue use The Vault:Create Fallout 3 article. Ausir(talk) 12:58, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

Merging Edit

Some of your articles would be better merged into existing ones. E.g. FDR Island should just get a mention in Metro, while Watermelon should be redirected to Fruit. In general, I don't think there should be separate articles for real-world items that are mentioned in-game but don't actually appear. Ausir(talk) 02:47, 15 August 2009 (UTC)

What is your definition of appear? My definition is: the item is seen. Watermelon is seen on an ad.--Throwback 03:06, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
Appear as an actual object, not just images of them. For the ad itself, I suggest simply adding it to the Posters page and redirecting all items seen only on posters there instead of having separate pages for each one. Ausir(talk) 03:23, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
Will do.--Throwback 03:32, 15 August 2009 (UTC)

Streets Edit

Do we really need seperate articles for every street in DC? It's enough to mention them in the respective district articles and redirect in my opinion. -- Porter21 (talk) 13:05, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

I guess I agree. Just make each of them a section in Falls Church. Ausir(talk) 13:15, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
I merged them into Falls Church (all the content is still there, don't worry). Please do the same with future ones. Ausir(talk) 13:20, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
