Wiki Map Edit

Hi, Im cyberlazy from the nexus.. http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/users/2955438 Im working on a program that basically will allow me and other users to 'paint' objects on terrain by painting a map then running that map through the program and using a script to place objects at the right height at the densities painted and produce an ESP.

I have exported the full heightmap from FONV but I have a small problem, its near impossible to tell what is where to know where you should be painting. (ie, you don't want to paint trees or monsters in the middle of a town)

So I was wondering if I could get permission to include the wiki's map in my programs distribution, overlayed and resized to fit the heightmap export?

(Currently the heightmap includes the full gamespace and is about 80% larger then the wikis map, but I will likey allow the program to read 'partial' maps since few people are interested in area outside gamespace)

This would not be used as data for my mod, it would be used as a guide for myself and other people to draw overlays on top, then remove the map before feeding it to my program.

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout:_New_Vegas_map is the map in question. I would refer people to the wiki for location index lookup. Its just I need to be able to scale it to 32 pixels per cell and add/subtract padding to get it to an exact cell count.

I was watching a show on Australian television, it's called Hamish and Andy's Euro Gap Year. It's basically these two famous Aussie comedians, Hamish Blake and Andy Lee, travelling Europe doing... well, stupid stuff. Kind of like a comedy travel show. Anyway, they were in Sweden this episode, and Hamish made Andy eat this thing called Surströmming. It was like rotten fish or something, which Andy puked up minutes after eating it.

Yo, Albertron.
I'm assuming you know about Agent C's competition thingy. If not, I'll give you a rundown.
Basically you have to design a certain storyline aspect (character/location/dungeon etc.) that could fit into a Fallout game. The guidelines are given at the start of each round (eg. you need to create a dungeon that could fit into Fallout 2) and then you just write up a blog about your dungeon. It can be either a pretend article, a story, or just a bunch of ideas.
Anyway, Chad had a bunch of contestants lined up, but one of them dropped out and the other hasn't responded in a while. He was looking for at least one person to fill in the spot. Perhaps you were interested in joining? Take a look at my submission as an example.
There's only one catch though. This is sort of short notice, because Chad originally planned for the first round (which is designing a Fallout 2 dungeon) to have finished tonight. So he's just waiting another day or two for Nic and Frankie to submit theirs. If you wanted to join, you'd have to think of an idea and post it up quick.
If you're interested, just let Agent C know on his talk page. If you're not interested, then... well, don't worry about it ;)

I personally don't think this Anon needs another chance. Just look through his ban-log to see exactly what I mean. I'm also personally considering the option of a perma-ban for this particular anonymous user. (Insulting other users, trolling, vandalizing our sister wikis.) And yes, I know we supposedly can't perma-ban any anonymous accounts. But this anon keeps coming back, even after bans that are a month long, and it doesn't seem like he's ever going to let up on his attitude. (Not to mention that he never actually makes any productive edits here.) But in all fairness, every time we ban someone's account here, we're technically banning their IP as well. (Which is why they're not able to just go in an make another account to circumvent it.) Anyways, since you're the one who just left him a warning, what do you think? Point Lookout mapEdit

Hey it's been a while, hasn't it? Good to hear from you, hope all goes well. We're doing ok here too. Did you already check out the canceled games portal? Done by Agent. Now we're working on adding the add-ons to the FO3 and FNV portals. Promises to be a good improvement. I uploaded two Point Lookout maps, taken from the game files of PL with help of the FO3 archive utility. Original one (black/white) and the other manipulated to fit FO3 green color. Take your pick.
