Fallout 3 map Edit

I play Fallout 3 on the xbox 360, and I came a across an unmarked location that's not listed on the map here. It's a collection of abandoned shacks, NE from Everglow National Park in the upper right corner of sqaure 4,9. I just wanted to mention it- thanks! Rojita369 19:22, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

Well, most unmarked locations are not added to the map - only the ones with unique weapons. They do have articles though - for example, I think you're referrring to the Wasteland gypsy village. -- Porter21 (talk) 08:16, September 9, 2009 (UTC)

Super PIP Boy Edit

Ah, hell. I'll stay away from deletions.

Also, aren't you meant to be on holiday? Spoon 08:03, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

Well enjoy your vacation. I'll try to keep this place together without Captain Super-edit. Spoon 09:01, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

Please remember to supply summary for each edit Edit

Porter21, would you help me by providing summary for each edit when doing Fallout 3 Location Project? No need to go lengthy, just brief summary for your edit so I can keep track of the changes.

Thank you. Enjoy your holiday.

Request for deletion of Grisly-Diner-Local-Map.png Image Edit

I would like to request for deletion of Grisly-Diner-Local-Map.png Image (

Uploaded by Like-minded (Which is, me)

For the following reason: This image is far from completion and I uploaded it by accident. Please help me remove this image so I can reuse the filename.

--Like-minded 16:05, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

There, I did it for you. Porter's on vacation. Spoon 16:07, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

It's not really necessary to delete old versions of images, you can simply upload a new image for the same filename. -- Porter21 (talk) 08:16, September 9, 2009 (UTC)

damage in gamebryo templateEdit

I was wondering what we are going to do with the line:

|damage =damage displayed ingame (in the Pip-Boy)

It seems like it will get change alot due to the ingame Pip-Boy damage rating changes during gameplay due to perks skills etc. It seems to be too much of a variable. Also there is an issue with the crit multiplier which P22 is changing using a method which to me, makes no sense. He describes his method on the discussion page of Fallout 3 weapons. He adds perks which the geck does not and once again, makes for variable numbers. We need to set some sort of rule before I begin to standardize the weapons by creating a weapon overhaul project. I need something concrete in which I can say to someone, "here is how we get the rating and this is what it is". If I need to I will start a new game and use the console to add all weapons and skills directly after escape. Thanks. And welcome back.--Kingclyde 17:22, September 8, 2009 (UTC)

What I can do for that section is immediately after Escape!, I can add the needed skill books along with all of the weapons (ah, the joy of console commands in PC) and get stats for that line. I think we should change that line to read in-game damage or in-game dmg. That way it discerns itself from base damage. We should also note the meaning of the ratings on the Fallout 3 weapons page. Let me know what you think. I have to try and catch up with Grizzy in the NPC project which I admit is going to be hard. lol. --Kingclyde 19:20, September 9, 2009 (UTC)

Another unmarked Raid Schack on the F3 Map Edit

Near Broadcast Tower KB5 (B8 red square, on the map), count 2 squares on the left and 1 square up, you'll find the Schack. It contains lots of ammo (7 raiders on the way) , Guns and bullets and Grognak the Barbarian books. Be lenient, I'm not native english that's why I don't explain too much on this place (and don't have an account on your wiki :'[). Anonymous (is it good ? ^^)

Most unmarked locations are not added to the map (only the ones with unique weapons/armor) but they do have articles. I'm not sure which one you're referring to though, I'll check when I get a bit more time :) -- Porter21 (talk) 08:16, September 9, 2009 (UTC)

Well then... Edit

Did you enjoy your holiday? Spoon 15:02, September 9, 2009 (UTC)

vanBuren Perks Edit

Hey Porter. I've noticed that the van Buren perks don't have a dropdown template like most of the others; should I go about making one? If yes, should I add it to the Template:Navbox Van Buren that we already have, or a completely new one? Nitty 09:13, September 13, 2009 (UTC)

Alright, there we go. I might have missed one or two, those red links buried in the design docs are sneaky little buggers. Nitty 09:53, September 13, 2009 (UTC)

Hey Edit

Hi I have my own Wiki for Fallout 3 specifically ( and I was just wondering if I could use some of the stuff you have in your articles to help in mine?

GOG Competition Edit

Will you be announcing the gog competition results soon? Thanks. CNavellier 19:14, September 13, 2009 (UTC)

Sounds good. Unfortunately, I have been pretty busy lately too so I didn't have time to check most of the contributions myself either. Ausir(talk) 00:57, September 14, 2009 (UTC)

As for giving a 2nd game to the 4th place guy - sounds good to me. Ausir(talk) 14:28, September 15, 2009 (UTC)

Fallout 3 Locations Project: Give appearances section a uniform look Edit

Porter21, I need your bot to help me edit appearance section in every article covered by Fallout 3 Locations Project.

I strongly believed a uniform look is important.

Here's what I recommended:
pagename only appears in Fallout 3.
pagename appears only in Fallout 3.
pagename appears in Fallout 3 only.

Item repairEdit

Hello again, I began listing repair options under a ToC of repair on items such as The Shocker. I was wondering if this is preferred or do you just want to use the infobox entry. I think this gives a more detailed option tree as well as being out in the open. Thanks. And if you want to use the ToC, should we leave the infobox line in or will it be redundant?--Kingclyde 01:03, September 14, 2009 (UTC)

GOG stuffEdit

Thanks for explaining that stuff. I was just trying to be complete as possible. As for the ears and fingures, I just didn't like the empty boxes. Im sure i saw a message in which werewolfhell didn't want any anons on his pages and posting all the hate comments he usually gets. Im sure that he asks Nitty to sometimes edit his page or something, or at least unprotect it.... Frank Horrigan 21:24, September 17, 2009 (UTC)

The page was limited to editing by registered users before and I didn't see a request for a sysop-protection. -- Porter21 (talk) 21:26, September 17, 2009 (UTC)

Hell deleted it, i know it was there when it still had those comments from when MikaelGrizzly sort of "threatened" him for his attitude. Just check around the history and authors. Frank Horrigan 21:28, September 17, 2009 (UTC)

Actually, we're getting him removed from that stupid site of ours (Again! CatherineMunro trusts him for a reason I can't fathom...), and the protection is for preventing edit wars from starting. Like they usually do with him. Nitty 21:29, September 17, 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, I know. Nitty 21:34, September 17, 2009 (UTC)

Little question =p Edit

Hello Porter21 =). Hehe, thanks for the speed reply.

It's funny, I went to write a message (like life is sometimes well done, not ?) to congratulate you for creating your Template or other, which is simply perfect, and I am happy to complete them, if you don't mind ^^ ? See you soon my dear friend ! Itachou 11:03, September 19, 2009 (UTC)

Ok my friend =), It's always a pleasure to complete your template. I'll do it for Fallout Tactics later. I am also in train to have a way to take screenshots for Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel. I wish you a good late night and take care of you ! Itachou 15:24, September 20, 2009 (UTC)

Re: Grayditch edits Edit

If you want people to know how certain things should be written, write it down in detail in the guideline page. Since many have followed, trusted the current guideline and contributed their valuable time to many of articles, your persistent quest with disclosing details only after edit is disrespectful to the participants.

--Like-minded 11:27, September 19, 2009 (UTC)

How would someone feel when they followed the guidelines, contributed significant time and energy to the project, only to find their contributions be revised because of someone's "unspoken" guidelines?

If you want to revise the guideline, please discuss it in the project discussion page. I am willing to sit down and discuss.

--Like-minded 11:46, September 19, 2009 (UTC)

This is not a general guideline; it's project-specific. In this case, you should put them down on the project page, under the settlement/Gallery section. Seriously, your action have eroded my trust in making good future edits, since you may again revoke the edit on the ground that your unspoken guidelines do not coincide with written guidelines. --Like-minded 12:27, September 19, 2009 (UTC)

GOG Edit

Hey, Porter. I e-mailed Ausir my GOG username and asked him what game he thought was the best at gog (besides the fallout games. He hasn't gotten back to me in several days and I wonder what the problem is. I even left a comment on his talk page.

I want my games! He already has my info. //--TehK (tok) 00:53, September 20, 2009 (UTC)

Monaco Edit

Would it be alright if I made a Monaco.css sidebar? I would have to change it around for this wiki, but it'd won't bother me. It's something like this.-- C2 / CC 18:16, September 20, 2009 (UTC)

Alrighty, thanks! BTW I'm not suprised he didn't now what a Monaco was I just learned what it was about a week ago :), and it won't bother me if I don't see the changes, I think my sidebar works pretty well.-- C2 / CC 18:21, September 20, 2009 (UTC)

Dead SlaveEdit

I used the Background because a dead person cannot have an occupation. It appears that the NPC project guidelines 1 do not jive with the proposed guidelines. In the new article 2, there needs to be a layout for each type of article. That way we can look at the format and say "here is how it should be done for NPC's, weapons or armor". Makes it easier and less confusing.--Kingclyde 17:24, September 21, 2009 (UTC)

Re: RTE problem report Edit

Damn. Thanks for letting me know.--Gothemasticator 09:42, September 22, 2009 (UTC)

Take a look at Vault 106 page. I added some section-breaks to try to protect the terminal entries from RTE space-creation. I noticed another page (I forget which, unfortunately) where the terminal entries all had titles and weren't getting mega-spaced with every edit. I think the Vault 106 article looks good, but the TOC is strange now.--Gothemasticator 11:28, September 24, 2009 (UTC)

Hmmm Edit

I wasn't planning to log in, but when I saw you made a Monaco.css sidebar, I thought By golly! What are the chances? How do you like it? O and you have to bypass the cache in order for it work, or just sit on your thumbs and it will just do automatically. But I think you know that.....-- C2 / CC 15:55, September 22, 2009 (UTC)

Oopps, no, your Monaco.css is what I meant.....-- C2 / CC 16:00, September 22, 2009 (UTC)

Turns out Werewolfhell was the one who posted....didn't sign, and that's frankley annoying and a bit embarrising to me -_--- C2 / CC 16:38, September 22, 2009 (UTC)

I did sign, however typing in 5 ~'s cuts out the Name part of your signature, resulting in only the time you posted being displayed, typing only 3 ~'s only displays your name, quite mind-boggling,eh? The Daddy Banhammer.gif 16:48, September 22, 2009 (UTC)
Not incredibly, I just remeber that 5=time 4=time and name 3=name. It's cool though, I make that mistake a lot.-- C2 / CC 16:51, September 22, 2009 (UTC)

Another common mistake is when people put an ; instead of an :,which causes the persons post to be bolded and look quite weird. The Daddy Banhammer.gif 16:52, September 22, 2009 (UTC)

Stanely's Party Hat Edit

why do you keep delete the article: Stanley's Party Hat? it may only be obtainable via console but its still an item in fallout 3. I mean thay keep the birthing blanket article and you dont even see that! Please allow me to make the article stanely's party hat or i will have to ask higher ups...

Or just make it over and over again.

If however your deleteing it cos you dont think its a real item then here's a base id B75E2.

if your just deleteing it cos your a no live loser who spend's most of his live editing and deleteing wiki page's. Then i do feel sorry for you sir.

Some missing base Ids... Edit

Hi there. I get feedback from people saying that they cant find some base IDs, even here in the Vault. I usually tell them to search harder or simply contact admins in here, but it doesnt seem to work well. For example me or many other cant find base ID list for all Raiders and list of BoS soldiers is missing as well (I dont mean named BoS NPCs, but those anonymous Paladins and Knights etc...). Since I dont have the G.E.C.K. yet (havent got the time even to think about it much) and obviously I couldnt even use it, I cant check any IDs by myself. I dont know if u are the right person to ask this, but could u find those base IDs at least for those Raiders and BoS soldiers? And if not, who would be the right person to contact about this? Or is there something Im missing here? Like some trouble about certain base IDs perhaps... This is only because Im getting more and more questions about these issues, since Im well-known to direct people to this wiki. But since Im not an admin, nor even very active contributor, I usually just tell people to ask admins in here. Youtube1smaller CryonBrion (Talk) 06:40, September 25, 2009 (UTC)

Air Edit

Hello my friend =). For the Air page, I think it's necessary for two reasons.

The first is that I read somewhere that the version of Red Ryder BB Gun in Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel used Air as ammunition, as the Meat Cannon uses pre-loaded explosive or the Chinese Scoped Gauss Rifle of Fallout 3 that uses pre-loaded balls.

The second is that even if this is not an ammunition item in Fallout 2, the Solar Scorcher uses Sunlight, which is exactly the same principle as Air. Itachou 10:58, September 25, 2009 (UTC)

Yes, it's a good opinion and I quite agree =). We should create maybe a page N/A ammunitions, Special Ammo or other name and put those pages here. The link to the template for Ammo Type redirect on this page. Itachou 12:07, September 25, 2009 (UTC)

Re my friend =). You have never played Fallout 2 ? In fact, for the Solar Scorcher is different than the Vault Dweller BB Gun and the Meat Cannon. Where both have infinite ammunition with air or explosive pre-loaded, this is not the case of the Solar Scorcher.

For him, it can contain only 6 shot after it must be recharged by the sunlight as a normal weapon, but the difference is that it costs 0 AP and and you must be in the sunlight. So this weapon doesn't reload if you're in a cave or if the time is between 18h00 and 6h00.

But your idea is not silly at all, I'll just slightly rearranged Itachou 16:45, September 25, 2009 (UTC)

Yes, yes I know ^^ but it's still a type of ammunition even if it is not an item, the weapon need this to work Itachou 16:59, September 25, 2009 (UTC)

Hum... sure, it's not stupid. The best solution would be to merge the type of ammunition as the Sunlight with the gun use this but still leave his name on the category " List of all ammunition in the Fallout games " of ammunition Page. We'll get there ^^ Itachou 17:06, September 25, 2009 (UTC)

Now that I think for this kind of thing, it would be better to write " Ammunition type in ... " instead of " Ammunition in ... " on the templates ? Good late evening to you =) Itachou 17:25, September 25, 2009 (UTC)

Template Edit

Actually no, I talked about what kind of template Template:Navbox ammo FO2 I think it would be better, being given it should display a sort of ammunition and not an item. But it doesn't matter, I you already pissed off enough with my bullshit ^^ Itachou 17:53, September 25, 2009 (UTC)

FOBOS templates Edit

Hello my friend =). Ho, don't worry, your previous version for Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel is already good, very nice from you ^^.

In doing, he should just maybe remove some category if you can, as " Ammo Capacity ", " Minimum Strength " and " Weight ", which are not specified in the game for weapons.

Thank you for your proposal and I wish you good evening my friend (personnaly, I'll watch a little movie but I still take care of Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel tomorrow and to also make this Wiki the best Fallout resource, even Goal ^^) ! see you soon =). Itachou 19:17, September 26, 2009 (UTC)

Quick question. If you create a blog, can you make it go to the Recent News section on the home page, or just to your user blog. I only ask, because I occasionally post one and a couple have made it to the home page. Is that just because Ausir or an administrator put it there?

Mail Box and image bug Edit

Hello my friend =). I'm writing to tell you just 2 small things. The 1st is that to be Mail Box, it has already over 3 pages, Mail dropbox, Mail box and Mailbox. I think we should keep this page naming " Mail Box " and merge the 2 others with it, what do you think ?

The 2nd thing is that there are bug pictures, for example, in the MP38 page, I post a new version of the picture with a transparent background but the old version remains, similar to the MP5 H&K picture.

Pending your response, I wish you a good evening ! Itachou 17:24, September 29, 2009 (UTC)

Ok it works =). I put my Fallout 3 game and the in-game name is "Mailbox". I will eat in short time but as soon as I finished, I merged the pages.
For images, it makes me made since yesterday, when trying to upload a new version, the old remains. Note, I upload with a new name, even if needed delete the previous. See you soon ! Itachou 17:42, September 29, 2009 (UTC)

Collapsible Boxes Edit

Hey there, Porter. I just have a quick question that I was hoping you might be able to answer. As the heading implies, I'm here to inquire about collapsible boxes. What I mean by that is, for example, the Fallout 3 weapons template is a collapsible box. Initially, it is simply a strip, but by pressing the "[show]" button, it expands, revealing its contents.

I have traversed through the source files, and I cannot seem to work it properly. If you can tell me how this can be done or created on another wiki, I'd be very grateful.

Warm regards, Five Dog Talk 19:45, September 30, 2009 (UTC)

Nitty and his rediculous cut content, now in space!Edit

Hey Porter. I was wondering if you could check the Zeta GECK for some kind of headgear that sounds like a "teleport blocker". It's mentioned in Tercorien's dialogue, at the same time as his forehead turns see-through. Nitty 04:10, October 4, 2009 (UTC)

Hmm. Well, thanks anyway. I was hoping that the GECK had some sort of script that forced Tercorien to equip some non-existent helmet, which caused his head to turn clear. Nitty 13:35, October 4, 2009 (UTC)

Unused files Edit

Hello my friend =). I started doing the housework for Unused Files, looking of course it is not used anywhere, and using them if they are interesting. By cons is really a horror, there's really a lot (over 1000 wide) and I think a little cleaning would not hurt, when do you think ? Itachou 13:34, October 4, 2009 (UTC)

Hi friend ^^. Yes, that's exactly what I thought to do =). I already begin Sunday through unused images interesting for the Auto-Cannon and Radscorpion example. I think when the mood takes me, I cleaned a little in implementing this policy.
In fact, at this time (today =p), I work on cut content objects, I already added those of Fallout Tactics, that I completed as and measure, when those Fallout 2 are already done and I remain those of Tactics and FOBOS. But I think (Unused Files) that's the kind of thing that will never completely clean ^^. See you soon and good evening my friend ! Itachou 16:06, October 5, 2009 (UTC)

I've been seeing in a lot of talk pages cyron bryon has what amounts to an ad for his youtube videos. I removed a couple of them. I feel that we don't allow links to outside sites (macceyman) so this guy is no exception. I wanted to get your thoughts about it. I'll remove them when someone edits a talk page so there isn't alot of talk page stuff hogging up the recent edits page.--Kingclyde 18:54, October 5, 2009 (UTC)

yet another questionEdit

Hi Porter21, I was just wondering at the end of Broken Steel what BoS rank do you receive upon your return to the citadel?—Preceding unsigned comment added by Craig8207 (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

Hi Porter, I’ve done some digging around and I thought you might like to know it seems the highest BoS rank achievable in Fallout 3 is that of “Knight”, alough there are some conflicting reports on this web site. One page even suggests the lone wonderer upon completion of Broken Steel becomes a Sentinel which I strongly doubt . The reason this was important to me is that I intent to run a game heavily influenced by the BoS.--Craig8207 08:08, October 9, 2009 (UTC)

Why was the bullet taken out? Do I need to now remove it from every trivia/behind the scenes section?--Kingclyde 00:08, October 8, 2009 (UTC)

Is this right?Edit

  • Super mutants with captives.

This is located in the special encounters. I don't think it is a special encounter, because it is already built into the game. (well you know what i mean by that)..

101 Edit

Hi Porter, hope im not being a pain in the butt M8 but I have a question regarding Trouble at the Home Front. Im a huge fan of the BoS and im possibly guilt of taking the game a lil too seriously. I like to use Vault 101 as a sort of a base of operations, the top floor makes for an adequate bunker. Rather annoyingly using my method of doing basically nothing other than “evict” the overseer, the main entrance remains open. I was wondering if perhaps you might know of a way that I could come and go as I please but shut the door behind me as an added measure of security?--Craig8207 08:35, October 11, 2009 (UTC)

Ok thanks for your help Porter, I think thats right darn shame though it was kinda buggin me last play through.--Craig8207 08:58, October 11, 2009 (UTC)

Your laser pistol Edit

I think having a section for the NV version of the laser pistol is assuming a little too much right now. In all likelihood, NV will probably have a laser pistol, but you never know. Those won't be in the articles when they're put across the wiki, right? At least until we confirm them? Nitty 12:49, October 11, 2009 (UTC)

EDIT: And where is FOBOS? Nitty 12:52, October 11, 2009 (UTC)

It's just an example for now. There wouldn't be separate articles for FO1 and 2 versions too, since it's the same in both. I think it looks pretty good, actually. Ausir(talk) 14:06, October 11, 2009 (UTC)
It's great, an excellent replacement for all those ugly disambig pages. Just nitpicking over it first. :) Nitty 14:11, October 11, 2009 (UTC)
Like Ausir said, it's merely an example mostly based on our discussion at The Vault talk:Policy and guidelines project. That's also the reason why I included FNV - I agree that it'd be premature to have a section for it in the actual article right now. The FOBOS gun I simply forgot initially. The FO1 and FO2 links would also point to the same article like Ausir said. I just figured it'd be easier to understand what kind of setup I have in mind if there's an actual sample instead of lengthy theoretical descriptions.
The idea behind this is to have one article with all the background information, allowing people to see all the incarnations and all the interesting history tidbits at a glance without it getting mixed up with game-specific stats and implementation details. At the same time, the individual articles provide easy access to all relevant details for each game. The "Background" sections will be transcluded from the "overview" article; this way we avoid having conflicting background information if the same "lore model" appears in various game with different implementations (like the Wattz 1000 which lore-wise is in FO1/FO2/FOT but has different stats and possibly a different usage in Tactics).
I think this implementation avoids the main issues the UESP model has (repetition and possibly conflicting info between "lore" and "game articles"; having to repeat content if the exact same item with the same stats appears in multiple games), and it's not as "bare bones" as the most-employed implementations on other wikis (see w:c:diablo:Axe or w:c:finalfantasy:Lunar_Curtain for examples). -- Porter21 (talk) 15:30, October 11, 2009 (UTC)

I expect to make a better article for the types of damage, namely "Laser", "Plasma", "Gas" etc...

Your idea for an article on laser pistols is a very good idea =). Before the end, wait until I finished the laser pistols of FOBOS. If you need help since I know the 5 Fallout games, ask me my friend, I'll be happy to help as usual, it's always a pleasure =). Itachou 10:54, October 12, 2009 (UTC)

Thank you Edit

I'm more a reader than an editor, but I just wanted to thank you for your efforts. I've noticed you are putting a lot of work into maintaining this wiki and I know it can be a pretty thankless job. Thanks on behalf of the countless readers :-) 16:49, October 11, 2009 (UTC)

Thanks :) -- Porter21 (talk) 17:47, October 11, 2009 (UTC)

Making incorrect changes Edit

You might want to keep an eye out for the author of this edit who changed some weapon data to an incorrect value. Hard to say if it was innocent or not, but this sort of thing is often difficult to spot and time-consuming to check... --Vometia 16:20, October 12, 2009 (UTC)

The weapon damage values get changed around a lot - it's likely innocent. People just put what is displayed ingame for their particular character and forget that this number is influenced by the perks they've chosen (or not). -- Porter21 (talk) 16:38, October 12, 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for letting me know! In that case I'll just quietly revert any incorrect edits I see in future (unless I see someone making a habit of it, of course...) --Vometia 16:41, October 12, 2009 (UTC)

Laser Pistol Edit

I made your Laser Pistol page layout live at Laser pistol, making some changes along the way. What do you think of the current version? Ausir(talk) 00:13, October 13, 2009 (UTC)

It's with pleasure that I will wait your templates for future pages like this my friend =). Itachou 21:14, October 13, 2009 (UTC)

Bracket hate Edit

I think the time is come where I need to solicit someone else's opinion! I have a strong dislike of bracketed text in articles: I think it ultimately makes them unreadable, and text either belongs in a given paragraph or it doesn't - asides might be okay in informal speech but aren't exactly encyclopaedic.

I guess the problem comes down to whether others agree or if it's just a stylistic issue: and in this case I've already attempted to remove bracketed text twice but s/he keeps adding them back in, and I don't think a revert war is going to be productive or especially welcome. So I guess I need to find some consensus: is bracketed text welcome or not?

Maybe I just need a lie down... --Vometia 02:44, October 13, 2009 (UTC)

Abuse Edit

While I'm pestering you about stuff, dunno if you want to do anything about this edit; hardly a conducive approach to fostering good community relations... --Vometia 16:35, October 13, 2009 (UTC)

Alien FoodEdit

Well... the fact that they are made into food doesn't change their place as creatures in Fallout universe, so I think at least links to them at Creatures template should remain. The template contains even "unofficial" creatures from Fallout 3 artbook. Master Mold 19:35, October 31, 2009 (UTC)

Help? Edit

The armor table at Fallout 3 unique armor and clothing was built with a <br /> thing in the Prototype Medic Power Armor section, and removing it breaks the table. Is there any way to get it out? Nitty 02:49, October 15, 2009 (UTC)

Ah, thanks! Nitty 21:01, October 15, 2009 (UTC)

Thanks Porter for helping me out Edit

I just wanted to take the time to write and say thanks for editing and sorting things out. (mainly on My Home/Talk page etc.) I really appreciate it :) PS3demon 16:32, October 15, 2009 (UTC)

Pictures of Clothing/Armor Edit

Do you think that for the clothing and armor articles there should be both a picture with a male character wearing whatever it is and a female character wearing it? Insincerity 20:57, October 17, 2009 (UTC)

My own two cents is only if there in noticeable difference beyond a slight change to account for breasts. For most armors the only real change is on females its changed to have more chest room. I don't think that is enough to warrant different pictures. However raider armor and a few others have noticeable differences beyond cup size so pictures with both genders may be fair in that capacity.--LordVukodlak 18:25, October 22, 2009 (UTC)

Characters Edit

For characters, I'd keep all of them in the game's main NPC category too. Ausir(talk) 07:07, October 18, 2009 (UTC)

Background sections in overview articles Edit

I like this solution myself, and I'm not fond of using just "see: Laser pistol" instead. How about explanation/instruction about how to use this feature added as a comment for those who try to edit it in the game-specific article? Ausir(talk) 01:00, October 19, 2009 (UTC)

Create article pages Edit

Well, the point of having a tabbed create article page for each game was that each started out with the tab for a given game opened. So I wouldn't redirect them all to The Vault:Create article. Ausir(talk) 12:16, October 19, 2009 (UTC)

Back to editing Edit

Hey, hope you remember me.

I'm the admin over at The VaultNO. I just returned to Fallout (I've been staying completely away from everything Fallout-related since the summer, awaiting GOTY), and I'm trying to update the Fallout wikia in Norwegian.

I've copied the monobook.css and monaco.css from here, it seems like you've edited it somewhat. Could you take a look at the front page of my wiki? The News tab on the right seems to be stretching the page, and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Cheers. -=KAG=-Discussion - the VaultNO 17:04, October 19, 2009 (UTC)

I just knew I'd forgot something. Thanks a lot! -=KAG=-Discussion - the VaultNO 17:50, October 19, 2009 (UTC)

Lesko faction issueEdit

Nitty and I are discussing the faction of Lesko. In the GECK it shows that he belongs to the LeskoFaction. I removed his faction as Nitty has changed it to Himself. It may sound better but it is not the wording of the GECK which I though you wanted me to start using. That is why I did that. Also it is like that with Agatha.--Kingclyde 21:52, October 19, 2009 (UTC)

While most of the other characters, like the Armory Master or Enclave Sigma Leader simply say "Enclave", not "FactionEnclave". This also brings up the issue with the GECK affiliations of, say, John Bishop, who is affiliated with the Bishop Family. Oh wait, there isn't one... We shouldn't use the GECK for the affiliations, we should use the ingame information. Nitty 21:55, October 19, 2009 (UTC)
Like a said, I haven't gone through all of the people. I'm trying to be civil, please don't treat me like I'm a fool. And in the GECK, it isn't called FactionEnclave, it's the EnclaveFaction. And yes it would stay Enclave as Enclave is a group and thus it would stay. My argument is for people that do not have a group affilation such as Lesko, Agatha etc. You are comparing apples with oranges. The Armory Master and Enclave Leader have a group faction. Lesko and Agatha along with many others I'm sure do not. That is the issue, not Enclave and other group NPC's. If you want to see how I do it with people who have a group faction, look at Crowley. He has 3 factions but the top on is the UnderworldFaction. I thus put Underworld. So once again please read what I write before making random accusations about my motives.--Kingclyde 22:05, October 19, 2009 (UTC)
But what about all the lone NPCs in games without the GECK? Like Willy? It wouldn't stay consistant. Nitty 22:11, October 19, 2009 (UTC)
But that is Fallout 2 which uses a totally different infobox template. Correct? If it doesn't it should as the weapons are different.--Kingclyde 22:14, October 19, 2009 (UTC)
Well, what makes a group like the Enclave important enough to not have the faction bit? Nitty 22:16, October 19, 2009 (UTC)
I'm done nitpicking this with you. Nitty. I will await an answer from porter. I'm trying to follow what needs to be done. At this point you are making me not give a fuck about this wiki because you seem to disagree with almost all of my edits. I don't understand really. For all I care it should be empty now that I think about it.

Here is the template:

{{Infobox character
|games =Which game(s) this character appears in

Note that NOT all of it gets filled out for non-fallout 3 games. Most of it doesn't while only 2 say fallout 3 only.--Kingclyde 22:22, October 19, 2009 (UTC)

I know that. Lesko has no affiliation to anybody else. And technically, Agatha's affiliated with both herself and the caravan merchants, by what she says. Nitty 22:24, October 19, 2009 (UTC)

Well do what you want. I don't fucking care. Are you happy? Fucking undo every edit I've done.--Kingclyde 22:26, October 19, 2009 (UTC)

GUYS! Leave it! Christ... Spoon Leave me a freakin' message 22:26, October 19, 2009 (UTC)

We use the in-universe affiliation, regardless of whether it has any gameplay significance, in the "affiliation" field, not any GECK affiliations. We could add a separate field for "GECK faction(s)", though. Ausir(talk) 22:28, October 19, 2009 (UTC)
Seems I have a little deja-vu; didn't we discuss this before? -- Porter21 (talk) 23:20, October 19, 2009 (UTC)

The GECK factions are what dictates the faction in-game. I broke it down on my talk page. My question is when a person has no group affilation (such as Lesko and Agatha) should we put "Himself", simply "Lesko" or just leave it blank. --Kingclyde 22:44, October 19, 2009 (UTC)

Yes, but the affiliation field is not for the in-game faction, but for the in-universe faction. For example, both Casdin and McGraw are part of the same faction in-universe, even if they have different in-game factions.
As for using "Himself", I generally used it myself for characters that are leaders of factions that don't have specific names and that have other characters are affiliated with. E.g. if Kenji is affiliated with Gizmo, then Gizmo is affiliated with Himself. For other characters, I usually just leave it blank. Ausir(talk) 23:02, October 19, 2009 (UTC)
Well, I'd just put "none" if a char has no group affiliation. In your example, I'd simply put "Gizmo's group" for all characters. -- Porter21 (talk) 23:20, October 19, 2009 (UTC)

GOG Edit

I had some gog problems with my account and the game I won in the gog contest messed up my account, so Ausir suggested I talk to support. I did and we ended up making a new account for me. I asked the gog support guy how to reclaim the game I won, and he said to ask Ausir because he had the download codes. It has been about two weeks, two messages on his talk page, and an e-mail, and Paweł still has not responded to me. Do you think you could ask him to deal with it? Thanks, Porter!--GigityMaster (Talk) 23:25, October 19, 2009 (UTC)

I told you I'll tell you when I hear back from GOG. Ausir(talk) 23:29, October 19, 2009 (UTC)

Template:Person Edit

Can you add an empty one together with Template:Incomplete to all person articles? Ausir(talk) 00:07, October 20, 2009 (UTC)

Also, if I leave the "type" field blank, it defaults to actor. Can it default to "Person" instead? Herve Caen is neither a developer nor an actor, for example. Ausir(talk) 00:10, October 20, 2009 (UTC)
Or maybe add the "Publisher" type? This would be more fitting for Herve and Brian Fargo. By the way, I'm not exactly sure whether PR/marketing people like Pete Hines or Matt Grandstaff should be called/categorized as "developers". What do you think? Ausir(talk) 00:16, October 20, 2009 (UTC)
I'd also maybe add a "musician" type for Louis Armstrong and The Ink Spots. Ausir(talk) 00:17, October 20, 2009 (UTC)
Sounds good, although I think "musician" is better than "artist", since people might end up applying "artist" to actual developers that work on a game's art, for whom I think "developer" should be used. Ausir(talk) 01:16, October 20, 2009 (UTC)
I'd include company role for developers as well. For example, Chris Avellone and Feargus Urquhart will then be listed as co-owners of Obsidian. Ausir(talk) 19:06, October 20, 2009 (UTC)
I'd also change "Games worked on" to "Titles worked on", since for now the Fallout Bible is not a game, and in the future it might also cover things like a movie or comic book, if one gets made (actually, there's also the One Man, and a Crate of Puppets comic). Ausir(talk) 19:09, October 20, 2009 (UTC)
OK, I guess. Ausir(talk) 20:39, October 20, 2009 (UTC)

By the way, the people categories could use a revamp. Currently only developers are divided by game. We should set up a division into "Developers", "Musicians" etc. on one hand, and "People connected to Fallout", "People connected to Fallout 2" etc. on the other, with subcategories like "Fallout 2 voice actors". Ausir(talk) 00:02, October 21, 2009 (UTC)

I was also thinking of dividing "developers" into "producers", "designers", "artists" (this one already is created) etc. Ausir(talk) 00:07, October 21, 2009 (UTC)
Oh, and maybe it's best to rename "connected to Fallout games" to "to Fallout series", for the purposes of existing and future non-game works? Ausir(talk) 00:08, October 21, 2009 (UTC)

Sounds good on all counts. I wouldn't differentiate between Black Isle and Interplay as employer, BTW, given how vague this issue can be. Maybe a joint "Interplay and Black Isle employees" category? As for Herve and Brian, maybe "Publisher CEO"? Ausir(talk) 00:49, October 21, 2009 (UTC)

Sounds good. Ausir(talk) 02:24, October 21, 2009 (UTC)

How about e.g. "Fallout 3 publishing and marketing staff" or "Fallout 3 publishing and marketing people"? Ausir(talk) 14:38, October 21, 2009 (UTC)
Oh, and how about dividing the "employed by" field in the infobox into "past employers" and "current employer"? Ausir(talk) 14:43, October 21, 2009 (UTC)
Sounds good. Ausir(talk) 21:22, October 21, 2009 (UTC)

Radioactive GoreEdit

I think this should be deleted as there is no data in the GECK for damage etc. It isn't listed as a weapon at all. What do you think?--Kingclyde 01:15, October 20, 2009 (UTC)

Administrator Edit

Do you guys need another administrator, because I was going to go for it when I was done with my "probationary period" of 3 months, but if you don't, that's cool too.Bllasae 21:20, October 20, 2009 (UTC)

Alright, thanks for your help :) .Bllasae 01:33, October 21, 2009 (UTC)

FO3 Locations Project Edit

Can you give a peer review and check the boxes for both Bailey's Crossroads and Bailey's Crossroads metro? I have completed them. Vault 815 02:11, October 21, 2009 (UTC)

Can you take a look at Outcast outpost please? I have made major edits. Vault 815

I think we should remove the project tags from completed pages and lock them. Otherwise, it encourages some idiot to mess it up. What do you think? Vault 815 14:40, October 21, 2009 (UTC)

I see where you are coming from on the issue, I agree that the project tags should stay but I have a Idea that would satisfy both sides. Create a separate Project box that would be manually replacing the existing ones after a page has been finished and only when a page has been finished. This new box could be the existing one but have a green check box on the end with the words PAGE COMPLETE under it. Or create a new box entirely that would be placed under or to the side of the Project box saying simply THIS PAGE IS COMPLETE with a green check box. That way It would notify people of the project and discourage LARGE scale edits to structure while leaving it open for small edits such as bug additions and new additions to notes/Behind the scenes. Vault 815 13:49, October 22, 2009 (UTC)

Tag skills in infoboxesEdit

I noticed Charon's tag skills and levels got reintroduced into the infobox. Why I agree to a certain extent that the tag skills are fine, there realy is not advantage to having the level info field. Not sure why it is there. Let me know what you think.--Kingclyde 16:38, October 22, 2009 (UTC)

I reintroduced it because it was present on every other companion except dogmeat. In addition many of the enemy pages include hit points and tagged skills in the template. With Charon appearing to be the odd man out I could only assume it was a mistake. So I made it conform to the other companions templates which included the level info field. Maybe its not necessary for tag skills but probably important for hit points. I also don't really know the coding for templates that well and could only copy existing formats not make new ones. --LordVukodlak 17:17, October 22, 2009 (UTC)

Well, at this point the only reason Charon doesn't have them is because the others do not have the new template applied to them yet. The NPC overhaul project is extensive and I've been slacking off on it myself. Tags skills I have no problem with, but the levels box makes no sense. 1-30 is kind of a given for all of the companions right?--Kingclyde 17:56, October 22, 2009 (UTC)

Not really. The creature companions (Fawkes, Dogmeat, RL-3) have a fixed level without Broken Steel (and them leveling with the player with Broken Steel is actually a bug which causes them to have far too much HP etc). I'm also not sure what new template you're talking about, Infobox character hasn't had any significant changes recently. If you're referring to the infobox requirements for the FO3 NPC overhaul project, the fields listed there are the ones every character is supposed to have at least - it's not meant to say that no other fields are acceptable. For example, the "family" field is not listed because not every character has a (known) family; but for those who do it should still be used. If the project instructions are unclear, my apologies. -- Porter21 (talk) 18:05, October 22, 2009 (UTC)
I see the fields in the infobox for it. What I was doing was using the box from Owen Lyons and making it fit whomever I was overhauling. I used it because it was the example. Never thought to check the template. My mistake.--Kingclyde 18:48, October 22, 2009 (UTC)

Template:Company Edit

By the way, I think we could use a company infobox for Interplay, Bethesda etc. Does other type of article that doesn't have an infobox and should get one come to your mind? Ausir(talk) 01:42, October 23, 2009 (UTC)

As for other infoboxes, maybe something for books and other non-game publications, like the Fallout Bible, official game guides, One Man, and a Crate of Puppets, The Art of Fallout 3, etc.? Ausir(talk) 15:48, October 23, 2009 (UTC)
Maybe also "number of installments" for e.g. Fallout Bible or the webcomic and "number of pages" for paper publications, "publisher" and "official website"? Ausir(talk) 02:47, October 24, 2009 (UTC)

D20 Gameicon Edit

Can you make a Gameicon for Fallout d20? I suggest using the d20 system logo instead of the one on the cover, since the latter would look too confusingly similar to FO1 logo. Ausir(talk) 02:28, October 23, 2009 (UTC)

Extra categorie for Weapon Template Edit

Hello my friend =p. It is fair to ask if you could add an "extra" categorie on the templates of weapon (than that of early Fallout games) so I can add an additional image that is too small for a Gallery contents. If you can not, is not grave. See soon =). Itachou 14:42, October 23, 2009 (UTC)

Hoooooo ! thank you dear friend, I hope it don't take too long =). Hehe, this will help me, it's nice ^^. Take care of yourself my buddy =p. Itachou 15:05, October 23, 2009 (UTC)

table Edit

just out of curiosity. what does table do that would make it necessary to remove it from my user page immediatly? i'm not trying to be fresh it's just that, well, i don't even know how you could have noticed it that fast. does it screw up other pages for my user page to use a template tag that's invalid? Tetracycloide 15:07, October 23, 2009 (UTC)

In-universe vs. In-GECKEdit

Nitty is using this new fangled term. What exactly does it apply to. I thought it didn't apply to NPC's because we actually use those terms to distinguish between characters (i.e. NPC, PC, and that other term used for characters that can be played by the player). And if that's how we are "doing it now" we once again need guideline for that too. I've always put NPC vs. people or whatnot. My head hurts. That the gods it's almost the weekend.--Kingclyde 21:27, October 23, 2009 (UTC)

Myself, I always meant for most sections to be written from in-universe perspective, unless they're specifically sections related to gameplay. I generally don't tend to use the term "NPC" in article intros, as characters are generally considered assumed to be NPCs unless otherwise noted. I also think "people" is more appropriate in article intro than "characters". Ausir(talk) 21:32, October 23, 2009 (UTC)
That's all I need to know. --Kingclyde 21:39, October 23, 2009 (UTC)

Holodisks Edit

Why did you remove "Fallout 3 holodisks" category from "Fallout 3 notes" a while back? Aren't all holodisks also notes? Ausir(talk) 00:21, October 24, 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, but won't at least some people expect to see all entries from the Notes tab in the Pip-Boy to be in the Notes category? Ausir(talk) 01:03, October 24, 2009 (UTC)
Well, then those that do show up as notes could be categorized as both "notes" and "holodisks", while those that don't only as "holodisks". Ausir(talk) 02:44, October 24, 2009 (UTC)
Maybe "Fallout 3 paper notes"? Ausir(talk) 20:12, October 24, 2009 (UTC)
The Van Buren category is for quest journal entries, not notes. Ausir(talk) 20:50, October 24, 2009 (UTC)
They should just be divided into individual quest pages anyway. Ausir(talk) 21:45, October 24, 2009 (UTC)

I wanna live! Edit

Is there anyway to NOT die in the last mission? I tried letting sentinel lyons in there but either way the game ends. so if you want to finish side missions you have to finish it before finishing the story missions?, but okay. so in broken steel what happens? do u wake up in that same place? do u have to recreate your character? do u keep ur followers? ur items?

Ashur's diary Edit

im wondering why in the article for "ashur's diary" there is no location of said holotapes listed, nor is there anything saying that it is cut content, either way im annoyed about this.Toolazytomakeaaccount 19:34, October 24, 2009 (UTC)

Weekly Digest Edit

Could you post (a bit late) digest for last week, unless you think there's nothing to write about (well, there are new infoboxes, redesign of the create article page, etc.)? I'm a bit busy currently so I can't do this right now. Ausir(talk) 00:43, October 27, 2009 (UTC)

Great idea! Maybe a profile of one of the major contributors in each digest? Ausir(talk) 23:13, November 4, 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for the spotlight :). I've been pretty busy lately so I didn't have time to post the digest myself. I guess I'll be writing the next digest issue with a spotlight text about you. :) Ausir(talk) 15:36, November 11, 2009 (UTC)

Italics in TOC Edit

I was instructed by Kingclyde not to italicize TOCs. Since I haven't been able to find a policy regarding this, I've been going by his direction. Am I wrong?--Gothemasticator 18:41, October 28, 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the policy link. That's what I was trying to find. I'll have to check in with Kingclyde. It was indeed book titles (and movie titles) that he didn't want me to italicize in TOCs. Thanks--Gothemasticator 18:48, October 28, 2009 (UTC)

PorterBot Edit

The "name" part of the weapon box for FN FAL (Fallout 2) (Fallout Tactics section) seems broken (at least on my screen). Was the PorterBot the one that broke it? Most of the other weapons boxes it altered seem completely fine. Dr Zoidberg (talkcontribs)

Excellent. Wasn't a criticism - but I thought if the bot worked on 99% of pages you probably didn't have time to look through every single one and check it worked properly... and I didn't know how to fix it myself :-) Dr Zoidberg

Fallout PnP Edit

I have a simple question: How far should I go with the Fallout PnP page I made a few days ago? I just downloaded the rulebook and I created a page because I new a few things about it. But, since it's not 100% canon, how far should I develop it? I would apprecate any feedback--KnightNapier 00:26, October 29, 2009 (UTC)

Would you rollback Moira Brown page? Edit

There was extensive vandalism to this page. Someone undid the very last instance, but much content is missing. A rollback to the last good version would be great.--Gothemasticator 19:06, October 30, 2009 (UTC)

Background section for the custom AEP7 laser pistols? Edit

Is that really necessary? I thought that was what the main article was for...? Nitty 15:22, November 1, 2009 (UTC)

Well, I don't think that the history of the base weapon should be put on the unique weapon's page. Sure, none of the unique laser pistols have any specific history behind them, but weapons like the Metal Blaster, MPLX Novasurge, and Zhu-Rong v418 Chinese pistol do. Shouldn't the background section only exist for the specific item's history? Nitty 20:03, November 2, 2009 (UTC)

Bots Edit

So I guess you're the guy one should go to about bots.

There are some tasks on The VaultNO that I'd love to get automated. What exactly can bots do? I have this scenario: I realized that a lot of the categories on The VaultNO are typos. I wanna change them. Is there a way I can get a bot to automatically add all articles of a certain category to a NEW category? And will I then have to manually delete the old ones? Thanks -=KAG=-Discussion - the VaultNO 18:32, November 4, 2009 (UTC)

It really doesn't seem to hard. I'm going to look into the pywikipedia bot, but I'll probably get back to you later. Hope that's okay. Thanks! -=KAG=-Discussion - the VaultNO 18:57, November 4, 2009 (UTC)
So, I've downloaded pythong, and I'm not at the place where I'm supposed to fill in user-config, but I'm not certain what to type and where. I found your configurations page for your bot, and I take it that's what I'm supposed to use, but I guess I should be changing something? Think you could help me out a little? -=KAG=-Discussion - the VaultNO 20:20, November 4, 2009 (UTC)
You've been of great help thus far, I really appreciate it. Bear with me just a little longer. I'm trying to execute the script, but I'm not sure how. I located, and I'm planning on executing it with this as the syntax: " move -from:Fallout 3 organisasjoner -to:'Organisasjoner i Fallout 3'"
When I double-click, it opens, waits for a short while, runs quickly through a list of what seems like arguments for the script, and then closes before I can write anything. What causes this?
And, when I log on, it doesn't give me a confirmation message. I'm not familiar with using the cmd console, so is it supposed to be blank as I type the password? No asteriks or anything? Thanks. -=KAG=-Discussion - the VaultNO 21:42, November 4, 2009 (UTC)
Almost there now. It executes the script, but there seems to be an error. I've screencapped it for you: here. What is not working? And as a sidenote, how do i set KAGBot to Bot status so that it doesn't show up everywhere. I accidentaly set it to Bureaucrat. -=KAG=-Discussion - the VaultNO 22:38, November 4, 2009 (UTC)
Yes, I'm certain. I just deleted both the .py and .pyc file, created them again, and I still get the same message. Are you sure I'm not supposed to change something in the configuration? -=KAG=-Discussion - the VaultNO 10:08, November 5, 2009 (UTC)
Copied everything you have, made sure 'en' was 'no and my nick was where it was supposed to be, and logged in again. Still nothing. Same message. It now says it can't find fallout-family. So I guess the problem is family-related. -=KAG=-Discussion - the VaultNO 11:58, November 5, 2009 (UTC)

Took these screenshots, not sure if it's what you were looking for. If not, just tell me again: 1, 2 and 3. -=KAG=-Discussion - the VaultNO 16:56, November 5, 2009 (UTC)

Actually, I got this message now. I changed -family: to simply fallout, not fallout-family. Here's the NEW error: here. -=KAG=-Discussion - the VaultNO 17:02, November 5, 2009 (UTC)
Allrighty. I think I figured it out. I added something to
    def apipath(self, code):
        return '/api.php'

Fixed the problem. Thanks for everything! -=KAG=-Discussion - the VaultNO 17:22, November 5, 2009 (UTC)

Creatures Edit

I'd make overview pages for consistency's sake anyway, even if there will just be 4 entries there. Ausir(talk) 23:11, November 4, 2009 (UTC)

Thanks Porter for Reese's Pieces, er, Buttercup fix Edit

Appreciate your cleanup on Giddyup Buttercup article. It's much better now. There are still some issues with the content logic but nothing comes to mind right now in emending that part.
Also wanted to thank you for recreating the Buttercup Toy page. I had considered moving all the Toy references but saw that the original redirect to Giddyup had been created by Ausir, so I decided to sit tight on that one. Glad you went ahead! --Theicla 04:03, November 5, 2009 (UTC)

Getting rid of MyHome Edit somehow managed to create a workaround that redirects MyHome to the Main Page. Could you look into it? Ausir(talk) 16:29, November 5, 2009 (UTC)

Well, if more wikis disable MyHome completely to get rid of the redirect from the site root, maybe Wikia will allow us to disable just the redirect. But yeah, perhaps it would be best to make a poll. Ausir(talk) 21:00, November 5, 2009 (UTC)

Need some help with Abblink Edit

Hey, sorry to bother you again. The good news are that I'm not in need of help with the bot, as I've found out pretty much everything about it. I'm trying to translate Abblink into Norwegian, and I want it to say "Våpen i Fallout 3", "Steder i Fallout 3" (Weapons in Fallout 3, Places in Fallout 3) etc, as "Fallout 3 våpen" (Fallout 3 våpen) doesn't work in Norwegian. I've tried to play around with it, can you take a look? And some translations: link = lenke and name = navn. Think that's all. Here's the template on my wiki. -=KAG=-Discussion - the VaultNO 20:50, November 6, 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, I'm here again. Some trouble with another template, but I think it might be related. It's this template. I want the titleheadlink to actually link to "Primære statistikker", but it doesn't. Instead it shows Primær statistikk. Is it related? -=KAG=-Discussion - the VaultNO 01:28, November 8, 2009 (UTC)

I hate to nag, which is why I'm trying to put off asking you again. I can't really carry on working before I've fixed this. I completely understand if you haven't got the time, I get that you're busy, but if you can or can't, please leave a note. -=KAG=-Discussion - the VaultNO 14:40, November 10, 2009 (UTC)
So the whole problem lies in the Abb and Abblink templates? I can take a look at them myself, but I'm not too good at these things. If you could me a version that puts the name of the game last (ie. "Guns in Fallout 3"), that I could translate, that'd be great. I understand that you're busy, so you just take your time.
Hope you had a great weekend, by the way! -=KAG=-Discussion - the VaultNO 15:07, November 10, 2009 (UTC)
I believe the best translation would be "Kun nevnte karakterer" (Only-mentioned characters), yeah. -=KAG=-Discussion - the VaultNO 20:13, November 10, 2009 (UTC)
It's working! Thank you so much, man. Really appreciate it. -=KAG=-Discussion - the VaultNO 11:36, November 11, 2009 (UTC)

Template:Image Edit

Hello, sorry about the edit on the Template:Image page. I reverted it back to your edit, I'm just using your information on these templates to try to get the Pro Wrestling Wiki back in shape. I just don't want you to worry that I'm screwing up any of your progress here. If I make errors like I just did, I'll always revert them back to your stuff. Wagnike2 05:35, November 9, 2009 (UTC)

Sugar Bombs Edit

I was wondering why was my reference to Sugar Smacks removed from the Sugar Bombs page?

Many elements in Fallout 3 have a reference to things in the 1950s and I believe Sugar Smacks are quite relevant.

An explanation would be nice.

Thank you, --Mattan138 19:34, November 10, 2009 (UTC)

Cut content and mentioned-only Edit

I think categorizing these by game is a good idea. And it could also encompass e.g. characters that are mentioned only in one game but appear in another. Ausir(talk) 13:25, November 11, 2009 (UTC)

Megaton terminal entries help Edit

I hate to do this to you Edit

But I'll have to ask for your help once again. Luckily it's not that hard this time. I think.
i translated the Naked Moose mag into Norwegian, using a translated version of Template:Infobox item, called "Mal:Gjenstand". However, it resizes the picture, even though I've set "type" to "classics". Where did I go wrong?
And yes, I'm slightly embarrassed right now. -=KAG=-The VaultNO 09:42, November 12, 2009 (UTC)
