[edit] Porter Engineering wiki?

I know you're pretty busy here already, but when working on importing some of our templates into the Dragon Age wiki, I've been thinking of maybe starting a separate wiki with more generic versions of The Vault's templates, which could then be imported by other gaming wikis, or maybe even included in a starter version of gaming wikis from the get go. Yes, the default ones are enough for most people, but others will like to use more advanced templates designed specifically for games. For example, when copying The Vault templates to Dragon Age wiki it takes some effort to first get rid of some Fallout-specific stuff and make them more generic, as well as copying over all components etc. A generic, ready for import template pack would be neat for that. [edit] Missing parameter on {{stat}} translation

I translated it into Norwegian, and used it on the Norwegian version of the Agility article. What's wrong is that the "extra" parameter isn't showing up. I can't seem to find out what I've done wrong. I'm guessing I've translated something somewhere wrong, or forgotten to do it, but as usual, I can't seem to find it. Looks great, although I think I'd still keep the current article creation pages as well. I think they're clearer and more noob-friendly, and I think it will be a good idea to put the New Vegas one in the sitenotice once information on the game starts appearing, like we did with Mothership Zeta. I don't quite understand what's wrong, but when you click on "edit" for a section (as opposed to editing the whole page), it calls up the section below the one your trying to call up. Hey Porter. Everytime I say that I think of Johnny Cash. Anyways, we have this article that was created and in my opinion, there should not be a separate article for something so small. This was evidenced by the Exhibit Vault that was in the Museum of Technology. Any part of something, such as Red's clinic, the town hall and the common area should be included in Big Town. Porter,

I was wondering if I could do peer reviews on my own or if the original editor is supposed to ask first?

Also, when doing a peer review, is it common for the peer reviewer to correct any mistakes or adding minor things or should this be pointed out to the original editor so they can change it?

Totally different question this time, but:

I noticed that the Chinese Commando also has a section of the Dead chinese commando.

Considering they are two different NPC's isn't it wise to create a NPC page for both the Chinese Commando and the Dead Chinese Commando.

It keeps the overview a little better, and it seems easier to search for it.

Also a link to the other version on each page could be added to quickly get to the other NPC should you accidentally get on the wrong NPC page.

I also asked Ausir for his opinion.

I had no idea there actually were userboxes here, I've only seen people filling in the Userbox template themselves. Anyways, wikipedia categorizes their users after what userboxes they have. In my case, I'd be categorized into Category: Norwegian Users and Category: PC users. Gore is directed to non-playable weapons. I meant two things I just got distracted. There are plenty of non-player weapons that get a page, why not this. The GECK lists it under weapons. As for the follower weapons they do have their own stats. We should either keep seperate pages or at least mention the differences in the main article. I am for leaving pages as you can use a seperate infobox. Let me know what you think. I'm trying to go for consistancy.Kingclyde

Mothership Zeta on NPC Overhaul Project has been completed (All but Peer Reviews). The only 2 to have done anything on it are Shadowrunner56 and Vault4. Why don't you send out messages to users telling them about the Overhaul Project, then more users might help and it can be completed quickly. I'm using the snipping tool in Windows 7. How would I go about making the images brighter? I see you already went and replaced my image. I'm not sure what the difference is. Did I do something wrong? I wouldn't really restrict the content of non-news blogs, aside from offensive material etc. They're basically just an extension of the user pages. If we have an off-topic forum, I don't see why we couldn't have off-topic blogs once in a while (hell, I even posted one myself sometime ago, about the Dragon Age event in London I was at). Most blog posts are Fallout or wiki related anyway, and any other ones rarely ever happen, so I don't see the need to regulate it. Ausir^(talk) 15:02, December 10, 2009 (UTC)

I think that articles about Fallout games like editorials, reviews, etc. on various sites (except for maybe stuff like "first exclusive Fallout: New Vegas review") should go to Fallout tidbits posts, unless when they contain new quotes regarding the game by the developers themselves (like the GameSpot one with quotes by Emil Pagliarulo) - then they warrant a separate post. We don't cover the setting of Jason Mical's Fallout PnP or any other fan-made Fallout RPGs. But we do cover unofficial works by developers of Fallout games (well, one for now), like JE Sawyer's PnP RPG. Especially given that he's now the lead designer of FNV. Hello, I am an administrator on the BioShock Wiki. I really love the features you have at the Vault, and I have been trying to add some of them to BioShock Wiki. One thing I noticed was the Template:Games to make a small icon appear at the top right of each page. Unfortunately, I am having trouble migrating that over since I don't know what parts of the Vault's common.css/common.js are needed to make it work.
