Hello there. The energy weapons info box is broken. I'm not sure what you are trying to edit but please restore the info box. Thanks.Kingclyde 23:56, 1 June 2009 (UTC)kingclyde I don't know what happened. I was just going to something else, and that happened. Unsure how to fix it, never happened to me b4

I'm on my way home from work. Just add the stuff you want in it here and I can fix it. For now I just restored the info box from a prior one. Thanks--Kingclyde 00:02, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

Well, well, well. I think we've found it. Say, you're an "Avatar" of Mr. Norris, right? What exactly does that mean? Nitpicker of the Wastes 23:19, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

Naming convention Edit

We use "Fallout", not "Fallout 1" in category names. So "Fallout quest items", not "Fallout 1 quest items". Ausir(talk) 02:47, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

Dlc Edit

No offense but your dlc looks pretty much like the pitt with oil in it. --LoneMerc101 21:48, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

Do i care? No and anyways its supposed to be a reference to something. Onipix 21:52, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

Dude I was just saying. What do you mean it's supposed to be a reference to something?--LoneMerc101 21:57, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

Well the answer is really quite simple. It's a movie. Onipix 21:58, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

Question about Fallout 1 and 2 Edit

I'm not really the right one to ask, sorry. I haven't even played FO1/FO2 :) I'd suggest you ask MikaelGrizzly, he does most of our screenshots for these games. -- Porter21 (talk) 11:31, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

Just noticed your second question - sorry, busy day today. I've removed the two items from the to-do-lists, however, you could've done that yourself as well :) There are "edit" links for each box at the Community Portal which allow you to modify the lists. -- Porter21 (talk) 15:50, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

Fallout screenshots Edit

F12 is key. Be sure to use mash's resolution patcher to get nice high resolution shots. 15px-Scribe.jpg Tagaziel (call!) 16:54, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

Re:Hey Edit

Yup. Over on the Fallout Fanon Wiki too. //--Run4urLife!My Talk 06:01, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

Thanks Edit

I'm not really good at all this computer stuff so thanks.--LoneMerc101 11:03, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

Wikify Edit

It's pretty simple actually :) For most of the dialogue files, all you need to do is add links to articles (say, if a character is mentioned you link his/her name to the article etc) and remove the {{wikify}} tag when you are done. As an example, here's an edit where MikaelGrizzly wikified one of the dialogue files: link. -- Porter21 (talk) 19:07, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

Kaga Edit

Yeah, he is a normal random encounter (at least would be if he wasn't bugged, although it's fixed in the restoration project). Ausir(talk) 23:31, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

New articles Edit

Plase use e.g. The Vault:Create Fallout 2 article in the future for new article creation. It preloads a basic page template (with the infobox etc.) for you to fill out. Ausir(talk) 05:30, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Wikifying team Edit

The Vault:MSG Wikification Drive is where your help would be most appreciated. 15px-Scribe.jpg Tagaziel (call!) 17:51, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

Be sure to link to each keyword once, on its first occurence. You can also sometimes link to it the second time, if another occurence is more relevant to the keyword than the first, and also in the tell-me-about keyword list. But don't overlink. Ausir(talk) 19:24, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

Great job with the wikification. However, sometimes you're not linking to all relevant keywords. E.g. at BARRY.MSG you didn't link to Necropolis, Watershed, Water chip (Chip keyword), Hall of the Dead (Hall keyword). Same with all the tell-me-about keywords in HARRY.MSG. Ausir(talk) 02:08, 14 August 2009 (UTC)

The template is changed, but the old version is still cached. Just wait a while and it will update itself. Ausir(talk) 02:34, 14 August 2009 (UTC)

umm Edit

Of course. Remove the FO2 references in there, move the page to Ymir (Fallout 3) and turn Ymir into a disambiguation page. Info about the FO2 character can then go into Ymir (Fallout 2). -- Porter21 (talk) 17:38, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

Sure, no problem :) Making disambig pages is not hard, you just place {{disambig}} at the top of the page and then list the pages the term might refer to. -- Porter21 (talk) 18:08, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

Monty Python and homosexuals Edit

Fixed. Those were special encounters. 15px-Scribe.jpg Tagaziel (call!) 19:36, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

Linking to category Edit

I noticed you were trying to link to a category on Mikael's page - "normal" links to categories categorize the page instead of linking as you've already discovered. To link to a category, you need to put a : after the opening brackets, like this: [[:Category:Wikify dialogue files]]. -- Porter21 (talk) 22:30, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

Finish Edit

What do you mean? 15px-Scribe.jpg Tagaziel (call!) 22:56, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

You do what you did with the rest - wikify. 15px-Scribe.jpg Tagaziel (call!) 23:11, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

did you know? Edit

Yeah, everybody can add to the list. Just make sure to follow the instructions on the template page :) -- Porter21 (talk) 06:38, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

RE: hey Edit

Hi,

Well, I've used a div command. You can go to w:c:Template:User:Tedjuh10 and view the code. If you want, you can copy it. Every template on Central can be used on all Wiki's using the command {{w:TEMPLATENAME}}, and if you create a page on Central with the name Template:User:Tedjuh10, and you have that one filled, you can use it on every Wiki. So go to w:c:Template:User:Tedjuh10 and view the code and copy it. Mark (Tedjuh10) - Talk 19:13, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

RE: You said "hey", I say po-tah-toe.Edit

Nope. But after the travesty that was Zeta, I plan on getting the Trilogy pack soon. Nitty 05:34, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

Don't worry, this stuff is child's play. Add some brackets here, some periods there. Easy. Nitty 05:39, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

Why not? Nitty 05:47, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

Re: heyyyy Edit

Simply replace the page with #redirect[[Name of target page]]. -- Porter21 (talk) 10:16, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

Is that the sidebar you're talking about? I know how. Spoon 01:31, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

The sidebar can be edited at MediaWiki:Sidebar for the Monobook skin and at MediaWiki:Monaco-sidebar for the Monaco skin. It works like a normal wiki list, each star represents a menu item and the more stars, the lower the level (just look, you'll see what I mean).

Enjoy. Spoon 01:39, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

Congrats!Edit

Congratulations on making admin! SuSpence95 (Talk) 16:48, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

Wow dude, keep your pants on. Do you scream at everyone that bumps you in the fucking hallway?

Comments Edit

Please refrain from personal insults in blog comments. Even if you disagree with someone, be polite. Ausir(talk) 03:09, September 12, 2009 (UTC)

Calling people idiots and faggots is not acceptable, especially given that you are an admin now. Ausir(talk) 03:28, September 12, 2009 (UTC)

Policies and guidelines Edit

Please check the policies and guidelines I've written up and see whether anything is unclear, otherwise needs changing or needs to be added. It would be nice to give some feedback on the project talk page even if you have nothing to criticize.

If possible, I'd like to put these into effect by the end of the week. The project has been dragging on for so long with little input that I'm simply tired of it. -- Porter21 (talk) 16:22, September 21, 2009 (UTC)

Forsaken Ruins Edit

RUINS DAMMIT.

That is what it says. Without the 'dammit' part. Yes.

Mutant encounterEdit

I don't care what Porter says, I've seen this one. It's a few levelled Mutants with a single captive. Showed up in the same place that Laszlo Radford did in one of my other playthroughs. Nitty 01:37, October 10, 2009 (UTC)

I don't care what Nitpicker says, there is a special encounter with Super Mutants and a captive. You're right that there are fixed locations with captives as well but this one's different. -- Porter21 (talk) 01:40, October 10, 2009 (UTC)
You don't care about what I have to say? D: Nitty 01:43, October 10, 2009 (UTC)

Itachou Page Edit

Hello Onipix =). Yes, it's true that I'm French and I sometimes make mistakes in spelling, by cons on this one here, but rather an omission of letter "s" but thank you for add them =). See you dear friend ! Itachou 10:40, October 13, 2009 (UTC)

Navbox Edit

Nope, they don't have one (yet). -- Porter21 (talk) 21:27, October 31, 2009 (UTC)

Saying Edit

I set it up the other way intentionally because it's not evident from the link itself that it'll take you to the portal. Most people don't notice that the menu point which expands a submenu is a link itself. It's the same way for FO1, FO2 etc. I discussed it with Ausir a while back. -- Porter21 (talk) 00:14, November 1, 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, when a submenu expands, most people don't know that the higher-level menu point is a link too. Ausir(talk) 00:42, November 1, 2009 (UTC)

Fallout 1 and 2 characters projectEdit

Hello. I am just leaving a quick note to say that we need to get this project finished. Its been very slow for a long time now, and so this is just a quick note to ask for you to continue your contributions. It would be really good if we could finish this project, and if everyone does that little bit more work, I'm sure it won't be long. So please don't forget about it :). Thanks, TheGuardianCalligraphyGuardianoftheWastesTag.

New policy on inactive adminsEdit

This is a friendly notice to inform you of a recent policy change here at Nukapedia. We have enacted a policy concerning all inactive admins/mods/chat mods who have not edited here in over 9 months. As your most recent edit was on December 14, 2009, you are one of the those who fits that criteria. We felt it important to get in touch with you to give you the opportunity to again become an active contributing editor and member of the Nukapedia community, whilst retaining your user rights. Please respond on my talk page, otherwise, if we do not hear back from you by October 16th, as well as see an increased presence on the wiki, your extra user rights will be removed. You will have the opportunity to respond to a bureaucrat to request them back at any point after becoming edit active for at least one month and show an active desire to make continued contributions again on Nukapedia. Thank you for your time.--Kingclyde (talk) 06:11, October 3, 2012 (UTC)
