Do not reupload any of the design document images. All of them can already be found on their respective design document pages. Ausir(talk) 23:47, February 11, 2010 (UTC)
The "inside" field should indicate which bigger location the place is part of, e.g. Boulder Dome, not what's inside. And please put all articles in the proper location category, e.g. Category:Boulder Dome. Thanks! Ausir(talk) 22:02, February 12, 2010 (UTC)
It is now. Ausir(talk) 22:09, February 12, 2010 (UTC)
Aside from that, you're doing good. :) Thanks for the contributions! Ausir(talk) 22:19, February 12, 2010 (UTC)
Which articles are you referring to? I'm happy to give you pointers why specific edits were reverted/what you can do better, but I need to know which articles you're talking about :) -- Porter21(talk) 08:14, February 19, 2010 (UTC)
Well, I can't find edits with your name in the Jericho article. Were these edits yours? If so, they were likely reverted because they're largely stategy-type additions, something we try to avoid (give people pointers, but don't tell them how to play the game). If it had been reduced to e.g. "If you blow up Megaton, Jericho will be killed and no longer be available as a follower unless he is in your party during the event.", it would've been fine. -- Porter21(talk) 23:37, February 19, 2010 (UTC)
Where did you get that Physics thing for Goddard? NittyTok. 23:20, February 19, 2010 (UTC)
It likely means Science. The designers occasionally use synonyms or outdated skill names in the docs. -- Porter21(talk) 23:37, February 19, 2010 (UTC)
The list of skills in Van Buren was undergoing many changes, at one point Physics was one of them. Ausir(talk) 23:38, February 19, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, that's what I meant with "outdated skill names". You'll also run into e.g. skills like Small Guns or Big Guns even though they were later rolled into Firearms. -- Porter21(talk) 23:42, February 19, 2010 (UTC)
I'd still put them there, even if they were later replaced, but link them to the skill in the final version, e.g. [[Science|Physics]] Ausir(talk) 23:51, February 19, 2010 (UTC)
The requirements listed at The Vault:Administrators are the minimum requirements for an adminship request to even be considered. If these requirements are fulfilled, the decision is made based on community feedback in the forum. Ausir(talk) 00:08, February 20, 2010 (UTC)
I'm afraid I'm the wrong person to ask in this case :) Ausir can probably give you a better answer since he's more familiar with the older games. -- Porter21(talk) 22:49, February 20, 2010 (UTC)
Sure, formatting changes are no problem (as long as the text itself remains unchanged). Regarding the horizontal scroll bar, Ausir and me are discussing a way to address this globally - you can save yourself the effort of formatting it manually :) -- Porter21(talk) 23:24, February 20, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for considering me to become an admin. Thanks. When the time comes, I will try to get you to become an admin too. - NuclearWhipBlab 00:14, February 21, 2010 (UTC)
Yea, I wanted too also. I commited a lot of my free time to this Wikia, not because I have no life... maybe so, but you will, I bet it! - NuclearWhipBlab 06:49, February 21, 2010 (UTC)
The link above, listed as !1, is where you put the link to the picture. The %^%^% is where you would click the link, look for the color and insert it there, such as this un real one, 00FF11. The NickNameHere is where you would put your nick name. There you go :) I can do it for you, just tell me what kinda colors and image you want. I have to leave for a bit, so go to Porter21 for help. - Nuke EaterBlab 07:08, February 21, 2010 (UTC)
View this as source editing also. - Nuke EaterBlab 07:10, February 21, 2010 (UTC)
Sorry, I don't know. I haven't uploaded any of the images already here, either. NittyTok. 02:17, February 22, 2010 (UTC)
I don't know either. I don't own FO1/FO2, all the images I've uploaded were for FO3 and its add-ons. You could try asking MikaelGrizzly or Ishotamaninnewreno, both of them have uploaded quite a bunch of FO1/FO2 images. -- Porter21(talk) 06:26, February 22, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, the issue is you are using the print screen key, right? You may have worked this out for yourself by now, but for FO2, hit F12 and it will save a bitmap in your fallout game folder. Probably the same for FO1. Just make sure you are using the high-res patch, especially for locations, and that the brightness setting isn't too low, you want the image to be bright instead of muddy. Happy editing! Ishotamaninnewreno 08:02, February 28, 2010 (UTC)
I answered your question before you asked me, like I said, don't use the print screen key to grab the image, hit F12. Ishotamaninnewreno 23:14, March 9, 2010 (UTC)
We make navboxes (that's what this kind of template is called) for every major location, it helps navigating between similar articles :) You can finish filling it out if you like; I'd actually appreciate it since I'm a bit in a rush right now and won't be able to finish it until later. An example of a filled-out template of the same kind can be found at {{Navbox Mesa Verde}} - basically you just need to copy the sub-headlines of the "Characters" and "Quest" sections to the fields in the navbox ({{Navbox Boulder Dome}}). -- Porter21(talk) 07:30, February 22, 2010 (UTC)
NPC project news: Birthdates and Interactions template!Edit
Thanks for your continued participation in the NPC project! Please visit our project talk page to catch up on new developments. See you around the recent changes page!--Gothemasticator 08:56, February 23, 2010 (UTC)
Seriously? the same thing keeps happening to me. I have beaten mardin before...only to die of rad poisining 2 minutes later... I'll edit the mardin page.
You are thinking of Killap and or Wasteland Ghost. Thats the second time in two weeks that has happened to me :P I have been involved in allot of mod projects other the years though, but I am not a programmer. I am currently writing for www.MutantsRising.com
Nearly everything known about FO2 modding can be found on Vault Tec Labs if you ever feel the urge to try your hand at it. - User:Dude101
Yeah, makes sense. Ausir(talk) 13:11, March 1, 2010 (UTC)
You can edit the redirect page after you click on the link in the "(Redirected from Boulder)" text under the article title. Ausir(talk) 04:10, March 3, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, feel free to IM me in the future. Ausir(talk) 04:35, March 3, 2010 (UTC)
And which one do you use? BTW, Boulder is up and better than a measly redirect page. Now just the millions of links to distinguish between the two pages is my next goal (sighs) Ghouly89 04:40, March 3, 2010 (UTC)
The Effects of player actions section is there to cover things not quest-related. Not every NPC will have anything appropriate for that section. Off the top of my head, it's hard to think of something. Perhaps something like mentioning Gob to Greta would fit there, since it is not part of a quest. That type of thing.
Another note, the quotation format that you used on Eden's page isn't appropriate for the Quotes section (I changed it back). That special format is what we use as part of the article header on FO and FO2 pages.--Gothemasticator 06:43, March 9, 2010 (UTC)
Basically, I've gone through all the regular game NPCs up through L on the progress table. (The new template for Interactions came up after I'd gotten that far in the alphabet.) M throught the end of the alphabet still need a good looking over.--Gothemasticator 07:19, March 9, 2010 (UTC)
Hey! I havn't talked to you in awhile! Hows it going? -ᴺᵘᴷᴬBlab 22:37, March 9, 2010 (UTC)
Good, I have to wait until April to be able to qualify for adminship. Its great to see you getting so many edits, thats great! Keep up the good work :). -ᴺᵘᴷᴬBlab 22:43, March 9, 2010 (UTC)
Definitely "is", not "was", there are some pages that say "was" but they should be corrected. And generally articles on older games are being worked on more slowly than on new ones, but we'll get there. Ausir(talk) 10:29, March 15, 2010 (UTC)
Yes, I am active on the fallout 1 and 2 project. I would like us to work together, I don't know how it would work though.--Vault4 19:04, March 18, 2010 (UTC)
What do you mean by 'time difference'? i would like very much to collaborate and do peer reviews and even sections together. Let's take this project by storm. UUH RAAA!!!--Vault4 21:04, March 18, 2010 (UTC)
Have we got a deal, then?--Vault4 21:33, March 18, 2010 (UTC) (I'm game if you are)
Everything looks good to me. Where do you live? How should I make it known that we are operating together? Reply ASAP--Vault4 21:43, March 18, 2010 (UTC)
I think that will be a good idea.--Vault4 20:02, March 20, 2010 (UTC)
Not just wind, it is a mark 10 tornado. Nice one. What you doing on here at the moment? You got any pages for me to look over?--Vault4 20:53, March 20, 2010 (UTC)
Would you be able to peer review some of the Fallout 2 characters on the project page, as I have done a hell of a lot of them and want them to be completed, but I can't do it myself?--Vault4 21:29, March 20, 2010 (UTC)
Wednesday, WOW. Hope you have fun on your trip. Where are you going.--Vault4 21:35, March 20, 2010 (UTC) P.S. Thanks.
Hope you have a F****ing ace time. If your age is true, you have broken up from school? I doubt I will manage to go on a trip anywhere, except Point lookout or maybe wandering the Capital Wasteland and going on the expensive Rivet City boat. I will be at a consistent level of editing, though. Don't worry--Vault4 21:45, March 20, 2010 (UTC)
O.K? (I didn't really understand the last bit of your comment) Also, what is a sophomore?--Vault4 22:08, March 20, 2010 (UTC)
Oh, I am guessing I did it on a page or more, didn't I? Thanks for clearing that up, if I don't speak to you again before you get back, just remember me having to fight Super Mutants when your having fun but don't feel any regret as "I was born in Moscow" and "My name is Artyom". (These are quotes from Metro 2033) Vault4 22:30, March 20, 2010 (UTC) P.S. I was born in and live in England, sorry for the confusion.
hey hows it goin. im playing fallout 3 now and i beat who dares wins yesterday with the expansion pack how do i access mothership zeta? Hunk tok 23:35, March 25, 2010 (UTC)
hey. hows it goin. i would like to talk to you. ive got a tri beam laser. hahahahaha!!! Hunk tok 23:41, March 25, 2010 (UTC)
The 'x' really does belong there; it signifies how many of an individual item are there. Granted, it's somewhat redundant, but it still should be used. NittyTok. 21:13, March 26, 2010 (UTC)
Those are the official names given in the Pip-Boy for the quests. No, I won't delete them. NittyTok. 18:01, March 28, 2010 (UTC)
I said "No" to both, not just deleteing the pages. Each needs a separate page. If you want a complete walkthrough, use The Nearly Ultimate Fallout 2 Guide. NittyTok. 20:54, March 28, 2010 (UTC)
Whoever did Modoc in the game had apparently failed high school English, same as Fallout's Boneyard. Bathas is the correct name. NittyTok. 03:35, March 29, 2010 (UTC)
If you do a search for "Baltha" without the 's', most of the dialogue file links will be to "Balthas". Jo and Grisham both call him "Balthus" as well. Very confusing town, Modoc is. NittyTok.
Sorry about that. Van Buren doesn't have a "Mentioned only" character creation page, so I jury-rigged the Fallout 3 one. NittyTok. 01:21, March 30, 2010 (UTC)
YOOOO!!! hows it going. i hpe your havin an oniriffic ( Terrific but Oni( japanese for demon) before it) day. YEAH!!! Ive been playing Oblivion instead of fallout3 lately. get back to me!!! Hunk tok 06:07, March 30, 2010 (UTC)
you wanted to hear about oblivion? its like fallout3 but medeval crap and magic. its also made by bethesda. its an RPG also. you have to travel through Oblivion gates like the one in the video.
Hope you enjoy its creepyness. Hunk tok 20:37, March 30, 2010 (UTC)
I have a download for my 1st draft of my book!!! Please download it, I plan to publish it sometime soon (once it's finished) and make some money... to support the Wikia!!! :D! Nukey(Talk)(Blog) 22:29, March 30, 2010 (UTC)
I was aware of the spelling errors for a long time but never felt like taking the time to correct them. I also am going to re-type it in another way as the 1st draft was made up as I typed instead of thoroughly planning out most of it. So, yes, whenever you get the time to go over it and review, you can correct it. Nukey(Talk)(Blog) 23:11, March 30, 2010 (UTC)
Well... should I paste it here? Nukey(Talk)(Blog) 23:40, March 30, 2010 (UTC)
Yea... it's impossible to export any text files onto the wikia. Do you have an email? Nukey(Talk)(Blog) 00:41, March 31, 2010 (UTC)
But I didn't edit the behind the scenes section. I put the "empty" in the "on death" inventory box. Shadowrunner56 23:50, March 30, 2010 (UTC)
Ok, I've just been doing that because every FO1 and 2 character article I look at have the ondeath section filled with an "empty". Shadowrunner56 00:41, March 31, 2010 (UTC)
You've ticked a lot of characters which are apparently unused in-game. Thing is, will that not mean they need one of those 'not confirmed by canon sources' things? As a lot of them havn't got one. StarfishCostume 15:44, March 31, 2010 (UTC)
Okie Dokie. In terms of resolution; what it is right, is I had to download the patch as I had huuuuge problems with flickering and shizz, so I can't change the res back for that reason. Generally the images are more than acceptable though, it's just the people that are hiding behind walls are a bastard to get. StarfishCostume 22:45, March 31, 2010 (UTC)
I had the problems before any mods, the mod countered the problem. Any change in res will change it back and make it unplayable. StarfishCostume 19:22, April 1, 2010 (UTC)
Did you ever receive the file I sent? (By the way, I plan to also use some of the money to go to M.I.T. :) ) Nukey(Talk)(Blog) 00:45, April 1, 2010 (UTC)
Haha, yes. I plan on using this as an extra boost when I start receiving acceptance letters. I really want to change the world I'm in right now, and help everyone out anyway I can. We all have to set aside differences, be it religous, racial or economical status and work to develop green energy and stop all wars. I feel most of the adults have got it wrong. Nukey(Talk)(Blog) 01:02, April 1, 2010 (UTC)
Or, y'know, we can flee to remote corners of the earth and hide in bunkers as the world goes all to hell, seeing as there's not a damn thing we can do about it. :P
In addition, the one on the Alya page does look better than the one you posted. The pixels are at least uniform on the page's image. NittyTok. 01:11, April 1, 2010 (UTC)
Hi. I have taken a little involuntary break and will probably not be active again for quite a while as my internet has gone down and I am using a friends internet to leave this message but do you have anything you want me to do? Are we stil on for partening up?--Vault4 17:10, April 2, 2010 (UTC)
Hey man, was just wondering if you knew the whereabouts of Avery, looked around the FLC and can't find him/her, therefore can't get the image for the page. Thanks - StarfishCostume 19:13, April 2, 2010 (UTC)
Suspected as much, thanks again bud. StarfishCostume 21:29, April 2, 2010 (UTC)
If you scroll up my page a bit, you'll see it was Nitty that told me it should be 150. StarfishCostume 22:37, April 2, 2010 (UTC)
Ahh I see, will do. StarfishCostume 22:55, April 2, 2010 (UTC)
Yay for me being the resident Nazi mod. NittyTok. 23:23, April 2, 2010 (UTC)
Whoooo. This is the same bullshit that AshRandom went through before she left. Trolls with revolving IPs, lack of support from other admins...NittyTok. 23:32, April 2, 2010 (UTC)
Naaaah. Two's enough. And since the meaner one has C&C to worry about, one's plenty. Thanks, though. NittyTok. 23:52, April 2, 2010 (UTC)
Easy-peasy. User talk:Ghouly89/Archive 1, cut-paste. NittyTok. 23:56, April 2, 2010 (UTC)
I think you have what it takes because you are THE ghouly,am i right?am i right?am i right?(you've already disconnected haven't you?Felixwilliams12 00:12, April 9, 2010 (UTC)
You think this is gonna sound funny but i've only ever played fallout 3 but i saw those first screenshots in earlr 2008 and i just had to have,i have also read just about everything i can about fallout and fallout 2. So to round it off, fallout 3 is my forte. what's your's?Felixwilliams12 00:22, April 9, 2010 (UTC)
Ghouly my man add-ons barely count or i would have put them on my list ps i have to goFelixwilliams12 00:29, April 9, 2010 (UTC)
"Will come out soon" is relative considering it's at least another 5 months until the release of New Vegas :) We'll have to see whether the project is still active then and whether it really needs to encompass the FNV quests; considering the articles will be brand new, they can be created according to the guidelines from the start and won't need to be "brushed up" later. But yes, the article creation template will be updated as the release draws closer or occurs - the protection is unfortunately necessary since there's quite a risk for vandalism involved. -- Porter21(talk) 17:23, April 10, 2010 (UTC)
The one on the right looks much better, yes. NittyTok. 00:02, April 11, 2010 (UTC)
Sorry about that. :P NittyTok. 00:09, April 11, 2010 (UTC)
It doesn't really matter; as long as the picture looks good. NittyTok. 00:17, April 11, 2010 (UTC)
Sigh ;/ As if you have to go back and change ALL the ones I took. Yours look better but mine are also acceptable. They show where the person viewing the page can find the character, and what he/she looks like, more or less. But yeah, have fun changing them >.< StarfishCostume 09:10, April 11, 2010 (UTC)
Gahh not offended mate, my bad, just a moody bastard :L Thanks. Starfish 17:43 11 April
Not so much edit them in photoshop, just crop them out. StarfishCostume 11:29, April 12, 2010 (UTC)
No not all ghouls just the god damn ferrel ones that get in mmy way when im trying to get some where...i dont carry and small pointless guns (hunting rifles, any sorta pistol, assault rifles[regular]) but i also dont use melee weapons(also it is possible to kill a mirelurk and a mirelurk hunter at the same time, unarmed, no armour, no vats and live to kill 1 raider before dying at lvl 17) so i have to use my precious ammo on those brainless SOBs God damn ghouls 23:22, April 12, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, i hate it. but Harold id awesome im stuck on what i should do for the Oasis quest... i wish i could get all of it but im on xbox so...
Yeahh, well, I'll look into improvement when I have a computer, as for now it's completely clucked. Looks like I'm going to have to reinstall eveything. StarfishCostume 13:29 GMT, 18 April
Please don't add the words "the year" to the phrase "in 2277." I know it may sound picky, but since this phrase appears on every NPC page, I would like to keep it as brief as possible. I also don't favor unnecesary formality of language at The Vault. Basically, if we elevate our standards of language, we lose our base. No biggy, I've just been doing away with those two extra words everywhere I come across them. Cheers.--Gothemasticator 08:16, April 20, 2010 (UTC)
Yes, the Interactions template has taken the place of the old Interactions section. Check out the NPC project talk page for more on the subject.--Gothemasticator 08:19, April 20, 2010 (UTC)
My bad. Now I understand. You are right. A lot of Billy's background should be moved into Interactions section. To do it properly, you'll probably have to reinsert the missing subheadings from the Interactions template. Just check out another NPC page that has the full deal. I, too, am too tired to do anything more tonight, though. See you around!--Gothemasticator 08:29, April 20, 2010 (UTC)
Yes, I was going to implement it but didn't have time to do it. If you feel like it, go ahead. Ausir(talk) 03:10, April 21, 2010 (UTC)
Well, once the template is finished I can have my bot add a blank version of it to all the affected pages character (like we did for the FO3 template) if you want. -- Porter21(talk) 07:28, April 21, 2010 (UTC)
Have you tried adding yes as per the Fallout 3 interactions template? phoenix txt 07:07, April 22, 2010 (UTC)
The interaction templates are somewhat complicated currently (at least if you're not familiar with template syntax); I'm going to make creating and modifying them easier in the near future (on the weekend probably). You might want to wait until then before working on the FO1 interactions template, especially since it also has a couple of small bugs. Regarding your adminship request, I've posted in your forum thread - you should have a couple of new buttons now ;) -- Porter21(talk) 08:21, April 22, 2010 (UTC)
I had checked the template syntax, and the flag is set to Yes as per the FO3 template. Perhaps, as other comments have suggested, the template is somewhat buggy in its current form. I may have a quick look through, and see if I can spot anything obvious, but Porter's recent work may give a better solution long-term :) phoenix txt 04:01, April 29, 2010 (UTC)
I have completely re-worked the template, and it is now fully operational! Docs to come :) P.S. A page that you previously edited, to include the template with parameters, provides an example of how it appears in-page. phoenix txt 05:38, April 29, 2010 (UTC)
I've changed the template so it uses the new meta-template for interaction charts which should hopefully make it a little easier to modify. The names of a few parameters have changed; just so you're aware. Happy tweaking :) -- Porter21(talk) 22:27, April 29, 2010 (UTC)
I'm an admin now :D, and yes, my spring break was fun. Nova Scotia is such a beautiful place to visit. So how are you, friend?
Meh, my signatures messed up. But anyways, my dad drives up to Maine and takes me there. We usually go to Canada once a year to see the sky. Even in Maine the stars are obscured by the harsh city lights. Also, I'll take up the offer on troll hunting as well :P. - Nukey (temporary signature for now)
I'm not sure, I think I might go steady (no, not that steady...) and just keep an eye out for new users who need some help from me :). Also, to add to that, I'm going to block myself for one second to see what happens. :D.
Sadly I haven't played Fallout 1 & 2 before, but if I had, I'd gladly help out.
"Milo, Shipping Foreman" is indeed a bit unusual, but it's actually the ingame name of the NPC. It's probably a bit of a borderline case (since titles should usually be removed from article names) but I guess in this case you could argue either way. -- Porter21(talk) 08:34, April 29, 2010 (UTC)
Mentioned in the Escapist preview. Was about to add a reference. Ausir(talk) 23:18, April 30, 2010 (UTC)
I wouldn't call it far-fetched. After all, it was 120 years ago. They could have grown a lot since then and could have become a major arms manufacturer in the NCR, which the Boneyard did join. Ausir(talk) 23:25, April 30, 2010 (UTC)
I just noticed that something similar was up for The Nuka-Cola Challenge, so I thought I might as well make it. Oh well, now I know better. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thank you for your continuing work on the ongoing Fallout 3 NPC project. Please visit the project talk page for the latest updates and current discussions. Our goal is to finish this project before the release of New Vegas! Cheers.--Gothemasticator 18:05, May 4, 2010 (UTC)
Sorry. I was taught that is how you make sub-page on another wiki. It has a different icon on the recent changes than main pages do. And don't you think you could've told me and given me time to copy and paste onto a new page, or at least back it up somehow? I wrote that from scratch right there, and now, as far as I know, I lost it.--With care and happiness, Supermutantslayer450'ROAR 06:32, May 6, 2010 (UTC)
AH, okay. Sorry if I came off a bit... I don't know... asshole-eeish? Also, for some reason, right after leaving you my first message, my copy and paste no longer works. Is it possible to restore the page, then make it User:... ?--With care and happiness, Supermutantslayer450'ROAR 06:53, May 6, 2010 (UTC)
Okay. I was just sorta mad when I wrote that, so I don't know if my word choice was rude. And thanks for moving the page. :)--With care and happiness, Supermutantslayer450'ROAR 19:55, May 6, 2010 (UTC)
Nice to see you again, friend! It's great to see you on here and active! Have you looked at my user page? I put my book cover on there, I personally feel it looks good. Anyways, I wish you good fortune and eternal happiness. Sincerely, Nukey, or formally Nicholas.
I always appreciate help with the various things I'm working on :) Regarding the quest stages, the way they're supposed to be used/inserted has changed since I created the page in my userspace - I still need to make the necessary modifications to {{Quest stage table}} so we can use it in the way we discussed on the forum. As the table is now supposed to contain descriptions of what the quest stages represent (script-wise) instead of journal entries, filling them out would require some familiarity with the GECK - I don't know whether that's something you'd like to do :) There is however another quest-related area you could help out with if you like. If you take a look at the forum thread I linked above, you'll notice that we're going to use little flowcharts to visualize the quest flow. As I've already put all the journal entries on User:Porter21/FO3 quest objectives, all that would need to be done in that regard would be turning them into actual charts via {{chart}}; no GECK knowledge required. Up to you :)
Finally, sorting the links in navbox content cells alphabetically is generally a good idea - most people just add/insert the links in random order, and having them sorted makes finding a particular link easier in my opinion. -- Porter21(talk) 07:51, May 7, 2010 (UTC)
As you like really :) It'd probably be more convenient/easier to change if you create the first few on a sandbox page until we've settled on standards for certain things (e.g. how to mark optional paths, or how to set graphs up if there are multiple ways to complete a certain stage etc). Sorry for the late reply, I was away on the weekend. -- Porter21(talk) 15:42, May 10, 2010 (UTC)
I'm glad you liked my book cover. I wanted to change the name since the maker's of the gamer "Lost Planet" might get furious if I use that name. As for your idea of writing a book, go for it! The sky isn't the limit! Your friend, Nukey
Hey. Just wanted to stop by and ask how your doing. By the way, have you heard of Terminal? It's a really cool application on Mac OS X. I feel like an emperor over my computer with it (:3). Nukey - talk21:32, May 14, 2010 (UTC)
Sorry about the long period of time in between the response. Anyways, Terminal is an application on Apple Mac OS X. You use it for computer code... but... not my thing :d. I just use it to mess around with stuff. Nukey - talk01:14, May 15, 2010 (UTC)
Sounds good, although I generally think that your edits to the articles are pretty damn good. By the way, Template:Interactions FO1 is pretty much ready, so it can be rolled out on Fallout 1/2 NPC pages, like the FO3 one. Ausir(talk) 17:51, May 15, 2010 (UTC)
1. Because it's not a marked quest and doesn't involve anyone except Stacy herself. Similar things were done to some minor unmarked quests in Fallout 3.
2. I think both "in" and "around" are fine. After all, if you go to a location in-game in 2161, all the characters are there.
3. Actually, most of my knowledge about FO:BOS is from The Vault articles added by people who did play it. Ausir(talk) 18:33, May 15, 2010 (UTC)
my honor to let you become project leader for the Quests Project. I'm more of a stand-by person, but you deserve it a bit more :). Nukey - talk17:55, May 15, 2010 (UTC)
Oh, okay then :D. Nukey - talk18:09, May 15, 2010 (UTC)
How long it takes until pages are recached varies quite a bit. An indicator is the length of the job queue as displayed on Special:Statistics; the higher, the longer it will take until pages with a template you just changed are recached. At the moment, the job queue is rather long due to all the template work I've been doing in the past 2 days. -- Porter21(talk) 06:48, May 16, 2010 (UTC)
Well, you could rework {{Navbox creatures}} and {{Navbox robots}} if you like. Creating the new game-specific navboxes shouldn't be that time-consuming if you use the game-specific subcategories of Category:Creatures and Category:Robots and computers as a base. I've also added predefined layouts for navboxes to our article creation box; when creating a new page in the "template" namespace, you should see the option to insert them :) -- Porter21(talk) 07:53, May 16, 2010 (UTC)
I think it's just fine as long as you only post stuff I like. :P . Just kidding. Knock yourself out, and don't worry about your admin status being at risk or anything.--Gothemasticator 07:13, May 17, 2010 (UTC)
Well it is a wiki( no t as big as this one we only have 100 articles) about the new game Alan wake.Look up on google Alan wake wiki and look on the featured users section and you will see my name.
What you need is probably on this page at NMA. I'm not too familiar with any of the utilities, but very knowlegable modders hang out at NMA's modding forum. Ask around there, and you'll get the info and the help you need.--Gothemasticator 06:52, May 20, 2010 (UTC)
Just checked out the collapsable tell-me-about tables, and I like 'em! I'm gonna go sleep now. See you around.--Gothemasticator 07:02, May 20, 2010 (UTC)
So, why did you suppress a redirect from Lori?--Gothemasticator 20:50, May 21, 2010 (UTC)
Ah. Your reasoning makes sense. However, having a redirect from Lori to Lorri still makes sense since that is what people (me) are likely to type in the search bar. And the way our search bar works, you won't get a hit for Lorri if you search for Lori.--Gothemasticator 04:36, May 22, 2010 (UTC)
I'd restore the redirect, just for the sake of the search bar being effective. And, yeah, Google does it better than us. :( --Gothemasticator 05:51, May 22, 2010 (UTC)
Actually, both spellings appear in-game. Ausir(talk) 07:37, May 22, 2010 (UTC)
I'd go with the screen name as the main article title, so Lorri, with a redirect from Lori. If there are alternate spellings in the game, there should always be redirects from them. Ausir(talk) 07:44, May 22, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for that message, it's nice to get some encouragement sometimes :)
As for becoming an admin, it's not my highest priority right now, although I might make a request right before New Vegas comes out. I can already imagine the amount of vandalism and poor edits that are heading our way :) --Anon(Talk) 05:30, May 26, 2010 (UTC)
