Hi there!Edit

FO1 intro Vault Boy

Welcome to the Vault!

Welcome to our Fallout wiki, and thank you for your contributions! There's a lot to do around here, so I hope you'll stay with us and make many more improvements.

Recent changes is a great first stop, because you can see what other people are editing right this minute, and where you can help.
If you haven't already, create a user page about yourself! If you do, we'll be able to know you better as a member of our community.
Questions? You can ask in the Forum or on the "discussion" page associated with each article, join the live chat in our IRC channel or post a message on my talk page!
Need help? The Help page has an outline of the site, and pages to help you learn how to edit. See the Vault's Policy page for general guidelines and code of conduct.
I'm really happy to have you here, and look forward to working with you!

Vault 87 Peoples Edit

Hello dear friend =). Due to the limited information on these people, I think the best thing is to consolidate on a single page named "Vault 87 people" or even on page of Vault 87. I let you choose what you prefer, good evening and thank you for your contributions to The Vault =). Itachou 21:23, October 5, 2009 (UTC)

There is already a page with all these names? Create a page for all is the best thing to do. There, you create a unique page for each person then there is a one sentence and not any other information as text or image. Itachou 21:29, October 5, 2009 (UTC)

Put on the Vault 87 page in create a new content named " Former residents ". I will delete those pages, no need redirect for this kind of things. Thank you for your understanding, good late night =). Itachou 21:40, October 5, 2009 (UTC)

This kind of little thing does not deserve a page, no one will see it and all the information it contains also. Put on the page of Vault 87 is the best thing and you enrich this page . Don't worry about the pages, I delete them although it will be long. Avoid this kind of thing in the future, if you're not sure, ask me or another admin =). Thank you. Itachou 21:55, October 5, 2009 (UTC)

I think it's OK to create these pages for mentioned-only characters, even if they're not terribly useful. No need to delete them. However, please use The Vault:Create Fallout 3 article to make them in the future. Ausir(talk) 22:07, October 5, 2009 (UTC)

Instead of deleting them, please copypaste the current content of the Xenia Read article in each of the other articles. Ausir(talk) 22:15, October 5, 2009 (UTC)
When copypasting, please also add at the bottom of the page. Ausir(talk) 23:04, October 5, 2009 (UTC)
It will be easier to just copy "", add it to the bottom of the edit window in one of the articles, then copy the whole contents of the window and paste it with the categories to all further articles. Ausir(talk) 23:07, October 5, 2009 (UTC)
You can add the categories later, then, if you prefer. I don't use the WYSIWYG category select tool myself (it can be disabled in the preferences), so I forgot that for those that do, categories are not copypasted with the rest of the content. Ausir(talk) 23:11, October 5, 2009 (UTC)

Welcome template Edit

Instead of using just Welcome ~~~~, please use the following: Bllasae for registered users and Bllasae for anons. Ausir(talk) 22:57, October 6, 2009 (UTC)

Oh, and actually, don't just transclude the template, but substitute it: for registered users and for anons. Ausir(talk) 23:05, October 6, 2009 (UTC)

Adminship Edit

No, you do not fulfill the minimum requirements. See: The Vault:Administrators. Ausir(talk) 23:28, October 6, 2009 (UTC)

*cough* What's Tropico, Bllasae? Nitty 12:32, October 7, 2009 (UTC)
So, it's not Fallout-related? Nitty 01:51, October 8, 2009 (UTC)
Oh. Well, don't let that get you down. Spoony and I had about 3000 edits before we even considered trying to get the shiny delete button and the even shinier yet also deadly block button.
We also put our adminship requests on the same forum, because we're stupid like that. :) Anyway, just stick around and do a lot of stuff that other people don't want to. You'll be popular in no time. Nitty 01:56, October 8, 2009 (UTC)

It's not really my place to say, but the constant updates on the Recent Changes page brought my attention to this. I don't think doing a bunch of spelling fixes to get to 500 edits qualifies for admin-ship. Granted, it is something to be done, it's just not something I think that shows you're qualified to handle the responsibility of making bigger decision. I believe that this is what the 3-month time frame is for, though. I'm not trying to sound like an ass, it's just something I felt needed to be said. That being said, once your three month period is up, I'm sure you would make a fine admin (because you'll do the smaller stuff no one else will :P). --ArmeniusLOD 02:10, October 8, 2009 (UTC)

Re: Hello Edit

I'll have to get back to you on that in a few days; I currently do not have access to the PC with the bot files. Setting up a family file for The Vault isn't that difficult though if you follow the instructions on the page Pywikipedia bot on non-Wikimedia projects; it even has a few examples for Wikia-hosted wikis. -- Porter21 (talk) 00:22, October 7, 2009 (UTC)

As I said, it'll take a few days. -- Porter21 (talk) 00:26, October 7, 2009 (UTC)
I've posted a copy of my family file at User:PorterBot/Configuration. -- Porter21 (talk) 23:48, October 7, 2009 (UTC)

Vault 87 page Edit

Hello Bllasae =). You did not tell me that there was already a page with all the names, otherwise I changed my point of view.

And it's true that once the complete pages it's not too bad. Anyway, my mistake.

By cons for adminship, I don't think that even with 500 contribution you are accepted, being given all the pages you create for the people of Vault 87 will not be added to the contribution for adminship, given the little work that required. Have a good day and soon on The Vault =). Itachou 10:06, October 7, 2009 (UTC)

Yes, everyone can make mistakes =). In addition, I didn't know there were already pages of this kind. See you soon ! Itachou 12:10, October 7, 2009 (UTC)

New Messages Edit

Works like a charm. Spoon Leave me a freakin' message 22:43, October 7, 2009 (UTC)

Magazines Edit

You can order a high-quality printout of The Vault articles (and pay for it, of course). Ausir(talk) 22:48, October 18, 2009 (UTC)

Don't ask me, it's probably higher quality than your normal print or something. Not anything I'd use myself, but there you go. Ausir(talk) 23:11, October 18, 2009 (UTC)

Administrator Edit

Well, you can always try. I can't really foresee whether we'll need another admin in one or more months :) -- Porter21 (talk) 21:55, October 20, 2009 (UTC)
