@Anon2 I'll take modern day Interplay over Bethesda any day. I'm sick of hearing Oblivion fanboys insist that Bethesda 'saved' the Fallout series. It about as much saved it as if I were to find a child that'd gone missing but had been managing to survive on herbs and mushrooms in the wild, drag it from its cave, then lop its limbs off and present it to its parents proclaiming myself to be a great hero. To quote Heathcliff, "Having levelled my palace, don't erect a hovel and complacently admire your own charity in giving me that for a home."
Bethesda dumbed it down and gutted it - ironically just like they did to their own Elder Scrolls series with Oblivion. And for all of your praising for their so-called new tech? It's the Oblivion engine with prettier graphics. That's about it.
Complain and whine as much as you want, defending Bethesda, but the truth of the matter is that the sole reason they want Fallout Online is for the replenishable revenue because they won't be able to make another Fallout game after their third one. There is NO other reason. They don't care and the only remote reason for them to possibly ever make another Fallout game is if they smugly go up to Interplay and say "Oh hey, looks like you're hurting finanicially after we viciously assaulted you with lawsuits and stole your game - want to sell us the rights again?" Something which I really doubt Interplay will do, so by all means, root for Bethesda and what will then be the FINAL end of the Fallout franchise.
