After Feargus made that statement, Rock, Paper Shotgun reached out to Todd Howard. Todd Howard said, along the lines, that Fallout: New Vegas was great and that hopefully sometime down the road they can expand upon it.

Tim Cain also went to say that other possible names before they decided on Fallout were: Aftermath, Survivor, and Postnuclear Adventure.
They originally wanted the Ink Spots' "I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire" to be the game's theme song, but couldn't get it due to licensing reasons. Instead, they went with "Maybe," and it would up working better for the tone of the game. And, much later down the road, "I Don't Want to Set The World on Fire" became the theme of Fallout 3.Read more >

Bethesda Game Studios has announced that they will be releasing Fallout 3 and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion in one pack. This new pack will be released in North America on April 3rd and it will cost $29.99USD for the Xbox 360 and $19.99USD for the PC. This double pack is not available for the Playstation 3 due to restrictions that are blocking Bethesda from releasing it for Playstation 3 users. Bethesda will release an update if any information for a Playstation 3 release comes along.Read more >
The success that DoubleFine has had through crowdfunding with their new project; Brian Fargo, founder of Interplay, has been thinking that he wants to bring back Wasteland through crowdfunding. Even though Wasteland isn't considered part of the Fallout universe, it was a major inspiration to the creation of the series we all love today.
