Brief summary: I found Fallout New Vegas enjoyable.
Fallout: New Vegas is the latest installment of the Fallout series created by Obsidian following the First-person shooter style of gameplay that Bethesda made for Fallout 3. It brings back the engine from Fallout 3, as well as a very large majority of the mechanics, but with some custom ones. The story seems to be lacking and it leaves some plot-holes that are bound to be filled by the DLC.
The main story is: You are the courier, you where sent to deliver a platinum chip by the Mojave Express, you end up getting shot in the head by "Benny," a mysterious man in a checkered suit. You survive and wake up in Goodsprings, there you learn how to survive, after doing some optional story lines you go to Primm, which is under Powder Ganger siege. You free the deputy and choose a new sherrif, who you choose is up to you. Then you head to Nipton, only to find it conquered by the evil Caesars Legion, what you do there is up to you. Eventually you make it to Novac, where you can recruit your first official follower, Boone. Boone has a whole story line behind him. After finishing with Novac you head to New Vegas, and confront Benny, you can kill him or let him live, it's up to you. Then you are confronted by there major factions, the New California Republic, Caesars Legion, and House, or you can choose to make the Strip independent, what you do from here is up to you.

Overall I give it an 8.5/10.
