(In the year of Fallout 4)

This democratic confederacy of raiders forged over more than 100 years of nomadic sewer dwelling and some serious exposure to mind altering substances have united as a faction to appose the New California Republic in a growing sub culture know as The White Zombie Clan.

Background

The White Zombie Clan began as a hotchpotch of displaced raiders and others deemed out laws and outcasts by the New California Republic. Over time the Clan united and established numerous base camps throughout the ruins and existing sewer complexes of what used to be Los Angeles.

Always on the move so as to only encounter the NCR in the place and time of their own choosing. The White Zombie Clan roams from base to base to base always looking for an opportunity to ambush small groups of NCR troops and identify prospective new members. Now the White Zombie clan is what rules and yes feeds on the pretty people's left overs, mind body and soul in the wasteland ruins they call The City of Lost Angels.

Effects of player's actions

Speaking to different named White Zombie Clan members will offer options for Barter and or medical treatment as well as some small insight to their state of mind. The White Zombie Clan is one thing above all else ,extremely superstitious, this can also be confirmed by anyone lucky enough to have survived an encounter with them. They are deathly afraid to break a mirror or walk under a latter but oddest of all they think birth defects represent powerful omens, twins are extra lucky and Ghouls are magical beings to them.

  • Appearing only in dialog with named members of the White Zombie Clan it seems the previous Grand Poobah was recently killed in a confrontation with the NCR. As the election of a new Grand Poobah is essentially a Clan popularity contest ambitious members of the White Zombie Clan are scrambling to gain fame through assaults on NCR troops, supply caravans and by collecting trophies that would be considered by the superstitious White Zombie Clan members as "totems with big mojo". (See the quest "Get my Mojo back")

If encountered alone, a single unnamed member of this faction may seem cowardly as they will most likely try to run back to join a larger group but if chased they may turn and viciously attack out of desperation.

The White Zombie Clan usually travel in groups of three to six and some times may even be accompanied by one or two vicious dogs but unless the player's character is dressed like an NCR trooper or other wise provokes them they will not initially act hostile, some might even say they act friendly. However the truth is they like to size up strangers. In fact this is the most common way they increase their ranks. The White Zombie Clan may seem to be superstitious savages but over the years, through trial and error, they have developed a very effective combination of mind altering drugs and torture booth physical and physiological to brainwash those they wish to recruit. Often they will get to know their draftees, assessing their skills to determine their strengths and weaknesses. As many brave traders, missionaries and traveling waist land doctors have discovered, lowering ones guard in the City of Lost Angels may cost you your identity, your mind and quite possibly your soul.   • An optional encounter, (An offer you can't refuse) After the player's character has spoken to any of the named White Zombie Clan members, if the player's character tries to sleep in one of the Clan's unmanned bases for eight hours or more they will be surprised by a small band of Clan members lead by at least one of the named White Zombie Clan characters. It would seem they were impressed by the player's character and now plan to beat you into submission so the brainwashing torture can begin. This is a fight or die encounter.

Notes

  • The non named members of the White Zombie Clan at low levels are comparably less of a threat than other game's Raiders and relatively easy to defeat. Their clothing is equal to Pre-War kid's outfits with a Pre-War baseball cap and their weapons are initially in poor condition but as they level with the player's character, by the time the character would reach the game's max level The White Zombie Clan could be considered formidable when encountered in a pack.
  • The position of Grand Poobah is an elected post. As the supreme leader the Grand Poobah would be paid tribute for their responsibilities of dictating territorial boundaries and mediating disputes between bands of the White Zombie Clan it's self, as well as negotiating limited treaties with other Raider gangs.
  • While the majority of The White Zombie Clan's food comes from hunting Mole rat, Radroach, Giant rats, what they gain through raids on NCR convoys and the limited trade they do but they also offer what they call "Long Pig pot pie" (See Strange meat pie.) Any one with the Cannibal perk would recognize this as human meat pie.
  • If the Game went on beyond the Apprentice contest quest lines it is reasonable to assume the NCR would offer bounties much as they did in New Vegas.
  • Not included in this Apprentice contest yet, it is imagined if the option to play a slaver's roll like in FO3, the White Zombie Clan members could be enslaved.
  • Weather or not if the player's character ends up killing every one of the above named White Zombie Clan members, if the game was to extend beyond these Apprentice contest quest lines, other named NPCs could be written to take part in other quests and or encounters.
