The Gourmand of the Apocalypse is a feature of GarouxBloodline's Strategic Nuclear Moose.

The recipes offered here are made from wasteland ingredients but these combinations have yet to appear in any Fallout game.

Added Fallout spice[]

Survivalist Salt[]

Salt really should be included in fallout.

  • If you live near a salt flat or a mine it just needs to be cut out of the earth and it is ready to be transported.
  • It can also be extracted from some plants or harvested by evaporation of any salty water. Yes even urine.

Natural extractors of salt[]

Any pealed "tuber" such as a Fresh potato will leach away some salt from a salty liquid

Note: Sea & salt lake water is not recommended to drink straight but it makes a fine survivalist soup and stew base. Just add fish, meat and or vegetables and boil.

  • Humans can drink their own urine up to three times as a recycle with out life threatening results.
  • Urine can be still later or subsequently purified by filtration or numerous techniques of the distillation process. Folks can piss in a sill boil it to vapor and drink the pure water that condenses.

Effects[]

Flavoring and it may be used as a rub in the prolonged preservation of fish and meat. It May also be used in pickling Recipes. Hard core only: Small doses slows Dehydration by 1/2 for up to 12 hours.

True Bloody Mary[]

Recipe[]

Combine Blood pack(1) and Vodka(1), makes servings (1)

Effects[]

To most player characters the effects would be no more or less than separately consuming the ingredients, however if the player character or NPC has either the Cannibal or Hematophage perks the effect would be the same as drinking a Battle brew but with zero chance of Alcohol addiction.

Other interactions[]

A mixed True Bloody Mary has a resale value of 20 Bottlecaps, however unless the Merchant also has the Cannibal or Hematophage perks friendly non-player characters (excluding companions) will turn hostile just as if they witnessed an act of cannibalism.

Note : My personal justification for making a True Bloody Mary non alcohol addictive to folks who have the Cannibal or Hematophage perks is that it could be argued, their perks are an odd form of addiction superseding in this special case the alcohol.

  • The rush of blood is the true drug to them, The alcohol is just the extra push.

reference[]

The name True Bloody Mary has a loose connection to booth the TV show True Blood and the actual drink called a Bloody Mary that is made with vodka and tomato juice.

Nevada agave fruit and Honey mesquite pod Lemon flavor syrup?[]

Recipe[]

Note : Mz Leea suggested : "Quote" I've read that Native Americans living in the area of Nevada used to make a sugar-y substance from the honey mesquite pods. Apparently they could be eaten fresh or dried, and when they were dried they were often ground to a powder and added to breads to make them sweeter. The resinous gum from the tree is also high in sugar. It could be eaten in a "raw" state, but it became sweeter when it was boiled to a syrup. Since the pods are also supposed to be a "lemon-y" flavor, I suppose that they could be used as a post-apocalyptic Lemon-flavoring, too.Leea (talk) 11:28, August 3, 2013 (UTC) "End Quote"

Honey mesquite pod (3), Nevada agave fruit (2), mashed into liquid then boiled into a thick sweet syrup.

Effects[]

Servings (1).

Waiting for Mz. Kishori input on effects.

Resale value 15 Bottlecaps.
