So recently Mojang, the company behind the popular sandbox construction game Minecraft, released a trailer for the newest mashup pack for Minecraft console edition, Minecraft: Fallout Edition. The trailer was uploaded to Mojang's official YT channel, TeamMojang.
For those of you who are not aware of what a mashup pack is, it contains a skin pack, texture pack, themed UI, themed music, and a themed world. This is not the first time 4J made a mashup pack from a Bethesda game. In 2013, 4J released a mashup pack based on The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
Here's a link to the trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0MKOpsVBnfA
Here's a link to an article covering the new mashup pack(I'm only including this link because there are pics in the article showing more stuff than what was in the trailer): https://minecraft.net/en/article/fallout-mash-pack-incoming
From what I've seen in the trailer and in the pics from the article, it seems that there are locations from Fallout 1, Fallout 2, Fallout 3, and Fallout 4. I have not seen any locations from Fallout New Vegas.
Locations seem to include(as seen in both the article and the trailer): Vault City, The Prydwen, The Capital Mall, Diamond City, The Citadel, Tenpenny Tower, Megaton, The Temple Of Trials, The Red Rocket Service Station, The Cathedral, Goodneighbor, Vault 111, and The USS Constitution.
There are a total of 44 skins. And from what I've seen the skins include: Cait, Piper Wright, Nick Valentine, Preston Garvey(No Preston, I don't want to hear that another settlement needs my help), Hancock, Three Dog(Time to fight the good fight), Fawkes, Moira Brown, James(?), Butch, Paladin Danse(?), Raiders, Super Mutants, The Sole Survivor, The Lone Wanderer, Colonel Agustus Autumn(?), Brotherhood Of Steel Paladins, The Silver Shroud, The Vault Dweller, Tinkerer Tom, and Star Paladin Cross.
Now, there is no confirmed release date, although it would seem that it is very possible that the mashup pack will be released simultaneously along side the new upcoming Title Update 46(which seems very likely as one of the picture from the article shows characters gliding through the air near the Prydwen utilizing the new Elytra Wings which will be in the new update) for Minecraft console editions.
All in all it looks really cool, and I'm looking forward to it.
