Doomjaws were rumored to exist before the war, in the sewers of big cities across the United States. They were first seen in the sewers of New York, then the sewers of Philadelphia, Charleston, spreading from the eastern shore to the western shore. It is said the first Doomjaws were baby alligators flushed down the toilet by carefree families.
Characteristics[]
Biology[]
Doomjaws seem to be huge bipedal reptilians, much like Deathclaws. Adults can reach an intimidating height of 14 feet tall, with a thick bony hide, a soft belly, powerful muscles, and gaping jaws featuring 6 inches long teeth. They are said to have really poor hearing and sense of smell, though their eyesight is excellent. Their build gives makes them somewhat slow and clumsy, so they tend to stand into place and leap toward their foes, in order to bite them.
Doomjaws are aggressive and hostile to any nearby creature, including other Doomjaws, except during the mating season. It is possible to tame younger ones, but adults are far too old to even think about it. They are usually solitary creatures, with 6 to 10 babies around in some cases.
Doomjaws are oviparous, with the eggs typically laid in dark, damp location, guarded by their mother. Hatchlings are taken care of until they can hunt and fend for themselves.
They communicate by various kind of growls and roars, sometimes emitting clicking sounds.
Gameplay attributes[]
Doomjaws are, fortunately, slow opponents. If the player can avoid their deadly bite, they are usually easy to kill with energy weapons, explosives or any type of rifles.
