    • Joseph Wapner, known for being the first host of The People's Court, dies at 97.
    • Actor Bill Paxton, who played in Terminator, Titanic, Aliens, and Apollo 13, to name a few movies, died at 61 of complications following heart surgery. He had most recently played as the 'trainer' in the new show Training Day, based on the 2001 movie.
