As I mentioned in my last blog, New Vegas and Fallout 3 with its GotY edition are both on sale through Steam for the duration of the Quakecon sale, for 25% off.
However, for today only, New Vegas is available for 50% off ($10), and Fallout 3 is 66% off ($6.75)! Today's also the last day to take advantage of the Quake Pack's sale, which includes both Fallout 3, New Vegas, all of their add-ons, and many of Bethesda's other titles, which is available for just $70.
I mean, everyone loves sales. Why not make a news blog about it? Don't forget, purchasing New Vegas will also unlock a Pip-Boy for Team Fortress 2s Engineer!Read more >
Now, a bunch of you probably don't know this, but Valve Software's hugely popular multiplayer FPS Team Fortress 2 is undergoing a phase of promotional item desire.
As of today's Team Fortress 2 patch, promotional content for Skyrim, RAGE, Brink, id Software's Quake, and most importantly, Fallout have been added. Recently, Ausir and the other two operators of The Va…

I finally decided to really get in on the Fallout 2 modding scene (beyond Killap's RP, of course!), and I started by downloading Lexx's Shattered Destiny mod.
Holy shit. Bethesda ain't got nothing on Lexx's team.
I probably didn't get through half of the content, but the main story felt like a real Fallout game. There were a few bugs here and there, and the English was a little jerky at times (to the point where talking to the character Spence was a minefield akin to Lynette's dialgoue, but in a bad way), but the whole experience is leaving me both speechless and demanding that Shattered Destiny 2 and Mutants Rising hurry up.
Unlike Fallout 3. >:P
It also did a pretty good job with a few things that weren't really a feature in either of the old Fallout…Read more >
