If anyone's interested, the rampant lion in Lyon's Pride logo comes from the logo of the Red Lion pub in Chicago, which sadly has been closed in 2007. Still, it's the same frickin' lion - it matches exactly :)
EDIT: And by saing "it's the same frickin' lion" I mean just that - it's the same frickin' lion. The shape is exactly the same. There are countless other variations of rampant lions, yes, but none of them matches the shape from Lyon's Pride logo.
A crudely traced version of the same lion was even on the pub's signboard.
