My Fallout 4 Review - POSSIBLE SPOILERS

I've been playing games for many, many years. I started on an old Atari 600XL, then IBM PCjr, IBM PC XT, 486-66, Pentium 133, Pentium 4, and now my iCore 5 seen on my profile page. I've played on a friend's Nintendo & Super Nintendo, but have never owned a console since the Atari 600XL. I've seen probably 1000+ games in my years, ranging from old B&W games to today's Fallout 4, Watch Dogs, Crysis 3 and more.

From what I've been able to see so far of Fallout 4, considering I'm a little behind on system requirements, is that it's an amazing game! I hope to get an AMD Radeon HD R9 in the spring so I can enjoy the graphics better. As far as game play goes, it's more in-depth than anything I've played. Skyrim is a close second as far as crafting goes. It's more than just pick up a weapon and go, it's modifying that weapon, armour or super-customizing a house to your liking. Even Skyrim doesn't have generators and you need a ton of external mods to enjoy light switches for fire places and lights in custom homesteads.

The game itself as far as a main storyline is short, but there's a lot of side quests. Unlike Skyrim, if you side with a faction, you could pi$$ of another faction. As a parent, I can relate to the Sole Survivor, wanting to find out what happened to your child. My only complaint is the super high system requirements. While I am able to play it, I'm in the lowest detail & resolution on a 32" TV display so it's not as pretty to look at. I've been able to play everything I own, except I struggle with Fallout 4. Even Crysis 3 and Watch Dogs play smoother, Fallout 4 is a beast to play. I look forward to my upgrades in the spring when I can see things better.

I've finished the main storyline, the plot twists really caught me off guard. Once the main storyline is finished, all that's left is side quests. Unlike Skyrim where you can continue with the other factions, depending on who you pick in Fallout 4 determines how many factions you get to continue with.

My rating, 8/10, could change after I get my new upgrades. :)
