I'm already a big fan of the humble indie bundle from its start, because I think the future of video games lies in direct distribution, fan-funding and DRM-free games (many thanks to GOG while I'm at it).
But as a developer, I have to say that I'm amazed by Brian's idea about re-injecting 5% of the gathered money into other games. Of course, it's not that much if you take all the little projects scattered around at Kickstarter... But they can help according to their own will and not only on Kickstarter (or even not on Kickstarter at all), and so, really interesting BUT underrated and/or unknown projects could find there some consequent funding.
I've backed FTL so far, because, even if they already passed the 1000% (no, it's not OVER NINE THOUSANDSSSSSSS! already), I think that this game is a big step forward for indie game developers (they are only two guys). Plus, as Wasteland 2 will be too (yay!!!), it will be available for Linux.
