I compiled nearly 100 sleeping bags/beds to remind me of places to save.

free: no spawns seemed to be triggered by reaching bed.

free*: spawn nearby, can be slept in if approached carefully.

clear: most likely need to clear the area, seemed to be leveled.

quest: need to complete quest before access to bed at Settlement.

boss: pretty much guaranteed legendary with skull next to name.

I played the Beta for two hours. What a waste of time. I'm on about my third day and I have eaten all the food I have found (IIRC, 3 salisbury, 4 Pork & Beans, 3 Bloatfly, 4 Radroach, 2 Cram) I ran up to the vault to refill my water, drink about 10 past being fully hydrated, run back down to Sanctuary, sleep 5 hours an wake up parched. I understand real life in a wasteland would be tough, but this is RIDICULOUS! How am I supposed to explore anywhere when all my time is taken up looking for food? This struck me as an interesting enough entry that it was worth a blog post. [|We Talk to Architect Charles Newman About 15,000 Bottle Caps for Africa] More than an architectural feat decorated with colorful bottle caps laid out by Maasai women according to traditional jewelry patterns, the project also serves as social cohesion and introduces technology in a non-intrusive way.

It started out looking pretty tough, I had already killed Blind, Mothers, and Legendary so there was only one in the open that would respawn. I went to Deathclaw Promontory and ended up killing about 8 just so I could get the Alpha alone and whittle down his health. I didn't want to sleep/wait to get another, so I went to The Thorn: ask for a match, two leg shots with CCOSSR, take a half dozen shots with a .22, rinse and repeat. Took about four minutes, the hardest part was trying not to kill them with the sniper rifle. GRPeng 04:48, November 30, 2011 (UTC)
