The Laser cannon is a fake weapon based on Tesla-Beaton prototype and Arc welder (Fallout: New Vegas) in Fallout: New Vegas.
Characteristics[]
This weapon has a Strength requirement of 7 to use effectively and uses electron charge packs as ammunition. It deals very high damage per second (DPS), particularly when used with a high Energy Weapons skill.
The Laser cannon achieves a high DPS by firing one big but low powered lasers continuously. It consumes ammunition at an incredible rate, depleting a full battery of 200 electron charge packs in just few seconds.
This weapon is incredible useless in V.A.T.S. because the player's character press only one time in the trigger so only one little laser leave the weapon.
Durability[]
The Laser cannon can fire a total of about 8745 times using standard packs, the equivalent of 44 reloads, from full condition before breaking.
