Hey kids! So, I'm looking into getting back into some good ol' fashioned RPG, and to do some I'm trying to come up with a Fallout-style game, set in a nuclear-distressed Portland, OR. Along the way I've decided to use the Storyteller System (as used in the World of Darkness), and also something else a bit special.
If you're into TTRPGs, and haven't heard about Ben Robbins'"West Marches", you should really check it out. Basically, instead of premade adventures with a single party of characters, you have a stable of characters that any available players can pick from, and they are the ones who are responsible for chasing after adventure hooks by talking to NPCs, etc. Just the way an open sandbox video game does it... like, oh, say FALLOUT.
So, I'm pretty excited about this, though it's slow going. It should be awesome, and I will post updates as they appear.
