Fallout 4. where do you think that it is going to be based and what factions are there going to be?
I was sitting here and just thought, "i wonder what Fallout 4 is going to be like?" So, I deacided to ask all of you. What do you think Fallout 4 is going to be like?

THey mentioned in fallout 3 something about the commonwealth in New England... so i think that would be cool like the boston bay area or even other area of the northeast... also changing seasons would be a sick idea

i would like to see a locaition that combines the city areas of fallout 3 that desert areas of new vegas and the swampy marshes of point lookout im thinking louisiana

New York would be a cool idea, but a problem is that it's such a common location for games, so developers would really have to make it imaginative (which of course they're capable of doing) and make the map huge so that you really feel like you are in the biggest city in the United States. Going back to the Midwest cities like in Fallout Tactics ex.Chicago, St.Louis, Detroit would be interesting and could continue some parts of the Midwestern Brotherhood of Steel story. And to throw in my two cents on this overseas topic some guys discuss, I think a retro-futuristic Japan could be intriguing. Perhaps having themes of 1950s-60s Japanese science fiction like Astro-boy or Cyborg 009. Just wanted to finally get that out there......

I think it will be there where snow is (like a character from Oblivion made some info about then upcoming Skyrim, the NCR troopers make the quote "Patrolling the Mojave makes you wish for a nuclear winter.").

okay though lets not focus on the state lets focus on the story what storys have we had in fallout so far im pretty sure the first 3 fallouts were all about either being a hero or a villian,fallout new vegas was based around revenge,so what plot lines are left for fallout 4,redemption,recreation,reuniting,i hate to say this one but *sigh* love i bet a million dollars that last one will never happen though

FNV wasn't about revenge at all and saying that they were about being "hero or villain" isn't really correct either. You would always be a hero to your own cause, for instance, and you would always be villainous to those who oppose your goals. You might be able to divide Fallout 3 (and 2 to some extent) into heroes and villains, but Fallout 1 and NV isn't the same in that aspect.

well i guess thats true i forgot that there is a main story line that you follow till mid game then you take the plot into your own hands i remember that fallout 1 was about replaceing the water chip.i dont remember what fallout 2 was about something about a tribe and vault city,fallout 3 was about... well the story line in allout 3 started out as you trying to find your dad than it turned into trying to purify the water very different story line on fallout 3 definitally full of twists,fallout nv startes out confusing actually since the first thing that happened was you got shot in the head after that it was either getting revenge on benny or delivering the platinum chip to house. so in the beginning to fallout you have a certain goal,than mid game you take control.

im thinking it could be a lesser state for once maybe utah or arizona could be new mexico something involving area 51 and as for factions im guessing the factions from new vegas and maybe some new ones.

I've actually been thinking for awhile that Florida would be awesome. The swampy parts could me a bit like Point Lookout, and if possible: you could go to freaking Disney World Ruins. It would fit into the fallout theme, and some of the abandoned rides could be really creepy in a post apocalyptic setting. Also, there should definitely be a perk that deals with wearing those big micky mouse costumes that the cast members there wear. Just a thought.

Yes, with mutated gators and Burmese pythons, (the pythons are already there and are sometimes in the 40 foot range), and don't forget the Keys. Disney costumes are out, though, both due to the need to get Disney's permission, (good luck on that), and because they suck, Fallout is not for 8 year old kids.

If you want to go to San Fransisco, play Fallout 2. It sure as hell ain't going into Fallout 4.

San Fransisco was in Fallout 2 but can always expand on the areas beyound the city itself. I have seen a map of the area in the Fallout universe and there is little to no information on the area beyound the city. The developers could expand on this and show the gamer more of something like the Serra Nevada's.

Realistically, I think it will be in the south-western United States. Face it: the developers of the Fallout seem gravitated towards that area. We've seen 3 out of the 4 main Fallout RPG's in the southwest. However, if it were up to me, it would be in Florida (since that's in a region completely unexplored by the series so far) and there would be a lot of new monsters. Super mutants wouldn't be as common. The Enclave would possibly be seen in a different light... after all, I've always viewed them as misguided bastards rather than as being purely evil. In fact, the main character would start out as a scout in the Enclave military, but would have opportunities to interact with and join other factions (or stick with the Enclave). But hey, that's just my personal musings and ideas. I'd love to hear what other people have to say about it.

It should be somewhere like st Louis cause the arch could be good aspect and maybe the rams stadium. Or el paso so you can go through the mtns, rio grande, and the city and border to Mexico
