Here's another batch of various small Fallout-related news bits. What does Fallout have to do with Polish politics? And who is likely to get sued by Bethesda Softworks next?

A clip from the original Fallout intro has been modified and used in an ad for Poland Comes First party in relation to the upcoming parliamentary election in Poland. I'm pretty sure Bethesda will request it to be taken down soon, so watch it while you still can. The clip was not made by the party itself but by its sympathizer, but it has been posted on the party's official community website. Will we see a lawsuit between a game developer and a Polish political party?

Update: Looks like the video has been taken down. Meanwhile, Eurogamer covered the story after I sent it thei…

    Lonesome Road holotape 1

    September 6, 2011 by Ausir

The release of the final Fallout: New Vegas story add-on, Lonesome Road, is still three weeks away. In the meantime, Bethesda Softworks will be releasing some of the holotapes we might be able to find in the Divide. In these, Ulysses will shed some more light on the Courier's history. Are you excited to finally meet the other, mysterious courier?

You can listen to the first of these recordings here.

    Weekly Wednesday Poll - 07

    August 17, 2011 by Ausir

Last week we had not just one, but two polls on player housing. In Fallout 3, it looks like the most popular choice is the Megaton house (78%), followed by the Tenpenny Tower suite (12%). The other 10% use incidental housing. In case of Fallout: New Vegas, there are more contenders. The first one, surprisingly, is one added in Old World Blues - The Sink (44%), followed by the Lucky 38 presidential suite (27%) and the Dino Dee-lite motel room (13%). Abandoned Brotherhood of Steel bunker received 3% of the votes, other Stip casino rooms got 1% and incidental housing 12%. No one chose the Ranger station in Zion Canyon.

This week's poll is about creatures from older Fallout games that we haven't yet seen return in Fallout 3 nor Fallout: New Vegas. Which…

Leonard Boyarsky, one of the original creators of Fallout has been interviewed by Gamasutra, mostly about his current role as the lead world designer on Diablo III at Blizzard, but Fallout is also mentioned here and there.

The mention of Van Buren here is a bit confusing, given that Boyarsky left Interplay during the development of Fallout 2 and while Van Buren was being made, he was busy at Troika Games. I'm guessing this is a mistake and he actually meant Fallout or Fallout 2.

Also, don't forget to check the Diablo Wiki for latest updates on Diablo III.

Back in June, Bethesda Softworks was hacked by the infamous group called LulzSec. While back then Bethesda's Matt Grandstaff stated "These attacks will be evaluated to determine if there are any additional protections we might take that would be prudent", unfortuantely these additional protections were not enough to prevent another attack.
