Fallout: New Vegas by Obsidian Entertainment has been announced by Bethesda Softworks on April 20, 2009 at its London showcase.

While New Vegas is not a direct sequel, it will use the same engine and be in the same style as Fallout 3 and will be developed by Obsidian Entertainment, a company founded by developers who left Black Isle Studios. Based on the title, it will be set in Las Vegas. It has a projected release date of 2010 and will be available on the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
