Bethesda sues Interplay, new V13 concept art
Bethesda Softworks has sued Interplay for trademark infringement, claiming that Interplay is in breach of the Fallout MMO agreement for failure to commence full scale development by April 4, 2009 and to secure certain funding for the game. Interplay disputes these claims and still maintains that it has the right to develop Project V13, together with Bulgaria-based Masthead Studios.
Meanwhile, Natiq "Defonten" Aghayev, Project V13 concept artist and Fallout fan community member has released another one of his concept sketches done for the game, Which you can see to the right.

THIS IS GAY i apparently just finished the game when i did'nt even want 2 i thought i was on another quest for yes man but it turned out that when i finished it the game end.... -.- WTF??? i wtill wanted 2 do SO much more but now that my saves are over saved i cant go back. i'v got 34hours on this and now i cant go back and do other stuff and i cant be fuked making another acc i mean come on i just finished the game.... wtf the game just ENDS a game this big you should be able 2 carry on and do other things not be able to just finish this is gay and retarded im not happy one bit with this.

You people need to stop being immature over the whole Bethesda bought Fallout. That's the way things work, like people dieing eventually. Things can't always be owned by one company forever. Bethesda has no right to get called names, neither does Interplay. I think all the hate over this is just plain crap, this is about Fallout, does it matter who owns it? Fallout is maturing like a baby learning to walk, then suddenly a teenager off to college. I think we all need to accept what has happened to the Fallout series, and get over it. Excuse my language, but stop bitching over it and accept it.

Also why not just let Interplay go i mean Really Bethesda makes MORE then enough money (which is probably all they care about) I still enjoy playing a few of there games now and then hell i will even admight it i have fallout3 But i also have fallout1,2,tactics i have played every one that has come out thusfair and by all rights interplay makes it the best no question about it i just want to see interplay make it back to where they should be at the top they make Good gripping games Earthwarm jim Awsome game,fallout Do i have to even say more?

i hope interplay makes it threw this by all rights its the dumbist thing i have ever heard to have to tell another company "Hey where making this game now is that ok" and on a side note for the person who brought this up Bethesda was not all that smart dont get me wrong they have made some pretty good games BUT OBLIVION is Way to overrated for one i played it was pretty fun just didnt feel sound though and how they made fallout 3 was Huh lets take a game that has ALOT of fans and errrhhh Take oblivion and throw guns in it and put it in the world WOW no one will ever know the Story was SSOO short plus it just didnt have that dark but fun feel to it like Fallout 1,2 hell even Tactics

Even in a beta stage, Fallout 3 is the best game I've ever played. Maybe diablo 2 competes, or final fantasy 6. But seriously, no game released within the last 9 years compares with FO3.
And an mmo makes so much sense. They could add cool weapon crafting like in F3, but expand it a lot. You could play a trader, or a dogooder, or a villain. You could join either the enclave, brotherhood of steel, the outcasts, raiders, etc, as various competing factions and fight other players. They could come out with expansions for every major area that was not completely obliterated in the US, the possibilities are really quite endless.
But if interplay isn't going to do it, then I'm glad bethesda is ready to take it from them, because someone should.

Bethesda are trying to be the only ones who make money out of Fallout 3. Interplay, on the other hand, are just trying to survive and give people a multiplayer version of the game they created. Bethesda also put money first by releasing Beta versions of their games, knowing that the players will put out patches that fix everything, and thy don't have to do the work.

er sw: the old republic is supposed to be story driven... it just takes alot of work to stay on top of it and thats something that wow dont have. you cant judge how an mmo will be off of what others were.

hmmm sue me sue you, poo all over you. breach of contract, breach of crap. I get tired of stupid stuff like this. Let game companies big or small make thier stuff without intervention. If they fall on thier face like Duke Nuke Forever, then you know what. It fuckin happens. I remember when games had like 10 people working on them, and alot of times less, and it still was a great game.

I am just saying this, Fallout 3 has a huge fanbase, and for those that actually look at the MMO Fanbase it would seem like a good move finacially if your could get the funds togather to build the platform and what not. You cannot put your own biased openion against what is a good idea if done properly. i personally have around 30 xbox 360 games, and i dont know how many PC games, but i play fallout 3 with all addons on my 360 only and have since fallout came out. (that doesnt mean i dont buy new games beat them and go right back to playing Fallout) I think honestly it would be interesting to find out What happens with v13... Good luck interplay, Dont "Kill" Fallout is all im asking.

Ausir the point still stands no one there except for one person worked on any of the old fallouts and the owner of interplay has driven the company into the ground. So why the fuck should anyone feel sorry for interplay since they brought this all on their selves.

First of all, Black Isle was never an independent entity, but simply Interplay's RPG division. So if a game was made by Black Isle, it was also made by Interplay, since Black Isle was always part of Interplay, and not an independent company or even a subsidiary.
Second, Black Isle didn't even exist by that name during the development of Fallout 1. You won't find the name "Black Isle" in Fallout 1, just Interplay. The name was made up only during the development of Fallout 2.

I don't get this at all you support Interplay and say Bethesda are bunch retarded fuck sticks. Yet they support the original developers by letting them create a spin off game. Yet you support the person who runs interplay that laid the original developers off drove interplay into the ground and has had a ton of legal problems and this is a guy you want to have make any type fallout game? Regardless if you love or hate Bethesda at least they aren't responisble for Brotherhood of Shit and Superman 64.

BigDogW I don't see how people believed Bethesda got the rights back considering there has been no news of Bethesda getting the rights back.

MMO's with guns usually blow ass anyway. The great thing about SP games is that not EVERY single person you meet in a single player game is a complete asshole. MMO's are 99.999% pure asshole. Where's the escape in that? I could go hang out with a bunch of assholes anytime for free!
