Gerald Strauss (Born February 2257), also known as the Knowledge Prospector, is a young prospector and sometimes hired mercenary living in the Mojave Wasteland. His name comes from his hobby of reading books and magazines, no matter how useless or essential they are. Aside from reading, he roams the wasteland endlessly, even crossing paths with the Courier at least once.

Origin
Edit
Gerald was born to Henry Strauss and Mira Shen in 2257. Henry was a refugee from Mexico City, while Mira was a vault dweller of Chinese ancestry.
Henry was captured by a slaver caravan at some point of his journey, and was eventually able to escape on his own. His independence shaped him to become an adept "survivalist" of the wastes.
Mira was educated under the roof of a vault, but was eventually pushed out by its inhabitants after an unfortunate uprising took place. There, she utilized her education to keep herself alive, along with her father and brother. As time progressed, her father became a successful trader, while she herself proved to be a great help around the caravan.
Mira hired Henry as caravan guard after crossing paths one day in an unnamed location. From there, they made their way to the Mojave Wasteland. After coming across an abandoned cottage, Mira, Henry, and the rest of the caravan settled there. After a year, Gerald was born.
Gerald, thanks to the background of his parents, grew up to become curious of his surroundings. After the departure of his parents (to parts unknown), Gerald became a prospector.

Howdy.
I used to edit articles mostly relating to Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 3, but as of late, I've been less active at it. I clean every single section of articles of bad grammar, and make it (slightly) cleaner than it used to be. Some significant edits I remember are the articles ED-E My Love, G.I. Blues, and My Kind of Town. One day, I hope to also assist in other aspects (such as coding and even pictures), but for now, I'm lacking motivation.
The profile up top is what character I would make if I could add one in the New Vegas universe. He's still under heavy construction since I have no idea what to write for the most part. He'll be finished one day, though.
I'm currently working on a huge wasteland project that was originally written from this blog post. I entered it on the Strategic Nuclear Moose, a community blog created by GarouxBloodline. And wouldn't you know it, I won! It's been featured on the February 19 edition of the Moose (and it made the page extra long). I won an interview, which you can view right here. I've also won a free banner from Doc Incognito, but I think I'm too late to request one. I'm content with the interview, though. :D
See ya 'round.
