Created via gene-splicing by the disgruntled Brotherhood scribe Samuel L. Whackson, they were released into the wastes upon the creator's realisation that he would not be freed from the Big Empty. One of the biggest current threats to the post-War world, these creatures have quickly found their way into folk legend and nightmare alike.
Characteristics
Biology
A deadly combination of deathclaw and cazador, these unholy beasts boast incredible speed and stamina. The continuous breeding cycle of the cazadores combined with the resilience of the deathclaw species has created a Frankenstein creature capable of spreading faster than any other large terrestrial animal. Think you're safe from a cazaclaw in the distance? Think again. The wings of the wasp grant these monsters the ability to chase down almost any prey, with speeds reaching levels short of only pure cazadores themselves. The intelligence of the deathclaw and swarm tactics of the cazador have contributed greatly to the beast's hunting strategies, and the larger varieties have been observed hunting even deathclaws themselves. Their carnivorous hunger grows in fame in the wastes, as another rancher finds their entire herd of livestock missing with each coming day.
Gameplay attributes
The relentless swarm tactics, ferocity and resilience leave little room to effectively negotiate a swarm, and it is highly recommended for the pursued to seek out shelter immediately. The ability to both ignore armour and to poison selected prey create significant problems for any unwary explorer.
Variants
Cazaclaw spawn
A newly hatched cazaclaw with wings too underdeveloped to fly, these little demons can still easily dispatch a fully-equipped Brotherhood paladin alone. Based on the hive structure of cazaclaw society, members this young will never be encountered outside of hive territory, and will be fiercely guarded by those of warrior and worker caste alike.

Juvenile cazaclaw
Even these juveniles are a force to be reckoned with, and considering the fact that they are likely encountered while being taught to hunt by their elders, their danger is significantly multiplied. Eager to learn through experience, a juvenile should not be underestimated as they are very willing to prove their combat capabilities. Though not able to fly to their full extent yet, their power musculature and developing wings allow for leaps over great distances, usually catching potential prey off-guard.

Albino cazaclaw
The albino variant. These fellows may be pale, but they certainly aren't shy. You may think their poor eyesight is a disadvantage, but it serves only to heighten their other senses. Their acute senses of smell and hearing are the stuff of legend, and they stalk the wastes like malevolent spirits.

Legendary cazaclaw
The legendary cazaclaw is possibly the deadliest creature known in the wasteland, and none are confirmed to have ever been killed by human hands at all. Fortunately very few have been spotted, but then again, very few survive to tell the tale.
You thought the normal legendary was bad? The legendary albino is closest thing to king in cazaclaw society and with good reason. So powerful a creature, the only way one can convey its sheer power is to explain the ease with which it could dispatch its regular counterparts. Enough poison to kill many normal legendaries in seconds, to date only one has been seen, however it was still in stasis back then....
