I have always been a pack-rat at heart, in both real life & video games, but my obsession with miscellaneous, or "junk," items really began when I played The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind (where my favorite junk item to collect was pillows), but I ended up not playing it much due to savegame and crash issues on the Xbox, as well as my system crapping out internally. I enjoyed the game enough that I later got TES4: Oblivion for PC. Oblivion was where the pack-rat in me truly awoke, and my love for "junk" items has been burning brightly ever since. But I digress, since this is The Vault, not the Elder Scrolls wiki. Anyways, having played & enjoyed the first two Fallout games (which I still own), I also bought Fallout 3 at the same time I purchased Oblivion. It took me a while to get around to playing it after I finished with Oblivion, but when I did I was happy that it used the Gamebryo engine as well, and also included lots of junk items. From Oblivion onwards, I have always tried to explore every location & pick up every item I could find, bringing it back to my house in the game and sorting it all into various containers, some of which I may have added using console commands if there wasn't enough for my liking. When Fallout: New Vegas was released, I waited a while before I bought it (but never considered not getting it), and I am greatly enjoying it currently, junk and all.
(I may add more to this later. Meh.)
