Ernest "Uncle" Roe is a 39-year old[1] person found in Canterbury Commons. Upon entering Canterbury Commons for the first time you will witness a scuffle between The AntAgonizer and The Mechanist. He will reveal some brief history of his town and the constant menace fighting between the two. After further questioning he will offer the The Superhuman Gambit quest, in which the player will have to settle the disagreements between the AntAgonizer and the Mechanist.

You also have the ability to invest into the caravans of Crazy Wolfgang, Crow, Doc Hoff and Lucky Harith. Two investments in each trader are possible, each of them will improve the trader's inventory and repair abilities as well as the number of caps they have to purchase with. The first investment is 200 caps, while the second is 500. Once you have fully invested in a trader, the next time you speak to them, they will give you an item as thanks.
