The Tucker Memorial bridge is a location in the Commonwealth in 2287.

Layout

The Tucker Memorial bridge is covered end to end with gasoline interspersed with ruined vehicles, four gas canisters, and five fragmentation mines. On the southern side is a trip wire connected to a makeshift bomb that if triggered, will lead to the eintire bridge being set ablaze.

Appearances

The Tucker Memorial bridge only appears in Fallout 4.

Behind the scenes

The Tucker Memorial bridge may be a reference to Preston Tucker, an automobile engineer. P. Tucker was responsible for many innovations that were quashed by the automobile industry of his day. For example, a third headlight, centrally placed, that changed its aim according to where the front wheels were pointed, providing a driver-directed light source. Note that, to this day, only luxury cars offer this feature. A car on one side of the bridge has a centrally placed device, where one might normally find a radiator grill, that would match this design philosophy. As well, the map marker icon resembles that of the Station Wagon, a vehicle based on an automobile designed by Tucker, the Tucker 48.
