Tristan is a Paladin of the Capital Wasteland Brotherhood of Steel who is added to Fallout 3 in the add-on Broken Steel in the year 2277.

He is the acting field commander of the Brotherhood forces in light of Sarah Lyons being down for the count, and is in charge of a Brotherhood operation involving the player and Liberty Prime, the first mission in the main Broken Steel questline.

- "Well well, look who's back amongst the living."
- "Basic rule of thumb on these operations; keep your head down and let the robot do most of the heavy lifting."
- When you first encounter him in the Rockland Car Tunnel, he will sometimes be unarmed and in the "fist-fight" stance; however, pickpocketing will revel that he is carrying a plasma rifle and simply has no ammo. He will find some ammo by himself after prime kills the first enclave soldiers, but you can also reverse-pic him some MFC's while in the tunnel which will make him fully operational after loading the next screen.
- After completing Broken Steel find him in the Citadel and he will give you a repeatable quest in which you can bring him blood samples from every super mutant you kill, it can give you some XP and 50 caps per sample.
- When he is talked to just after the Prime is destroyed, he will say "Go solider go" while this should be "Soldier" (confirmed Xbox-360)
