Tire armor, as the name suggests, is a piece of armor made from old tires.

Strips of old tires are used to cover the shoulders and upper thighs in this armor set.

AppearancesEdit

As an old Fallout concept art suggests, tire armor was going to be used by Khans, but they were replaced by leather armor in the actual game. In Fallout 3, many super mutants wear a single tire pauldron similar to the ones seen in the original concept art. Fallout 3's raider blastmaster armor also incorporates a tire as part of the shoulder pads.
