The Raid Shack is a house taken over by Raiders. It can be found due east of the Bethesda Ruins, north of the Chryslus Building and south of the Wheaton Armory and is not marked on your Pip-Boy world map.

[edit] Layout

[edit] Exterior

There are two Raiders outside, patrolling the front of the house. There is also a small worn trailer with two Ammunition Boxes and Buffout just to the right when you enter the grounds. On the opposite side of the yard there is a table with various items and ammo boxes.

[edit] Interior

Once you enter the shack, there will be three (four at higher levels) Raiders there, one with a Flamer and another with the unique knife, Stabhappy.

There are various supplies within the house and the layout is simple. Downstairs is the kitchen and living room. Upstairs is a master bedroom, kids bedroom and a bathroom. All beds in the shack can be slept in. There are many weapons, ammo and health items scattered throughout the house.

[edit] Notable loot

  • Tales of a Junktown Jerky Vendor upstairs, on the night table in the master bedroom to the right.
  • Stabhappy on one of the Raiders.
  • A lot of custom-built weapon components in the house including Paint Guns, Turpentine, surgical tubing, toy cars, pressure cooker, lunchboxes, cherry bombs, crutches, leather belts, vacuum cleaner, pilot lights, and tin cans.
  • There are four ammunition boxes outside in the yard: two in the trailer north of the entrance door and two under the table south of the door. There is a Switchblade and some Chems on the table as well.

[edit] Notes

  • It is possible to obtain multiple copies of Stabhappy as the raider who carries it respawns after 73 hours.
  • The Mailbox in front of the house just SW of the front door is rigged with an explosive. It can be rearmed as as a timed trap (10 seconds), or as a Proximity Trap. (Repair Skill 45 needed)
  • Even though there are probably a couple dozen ruined houses in this area there doesn't appear to be any loot in any of them.
  • Pre-war book and money in wooden box in single bedroom.
