The Pitt train yard is a location which is added to Fallout 3 in the add-on The Pitt. It is a medium sized train station whose only inhabitants are Pitt raiders, all of which become hostile.

Background
Edit
As Wernher talks to the lead raider, the raider mentions he never expected to see Wernher again, meaning that Wernher originally took this route to escape to the Capital Wasteland.
Layout
Edit
The area is nestled in a shallow gorge. On the west side is an inaccessible building, presumably a train station, whose roof is made accessible by a ramp. There are several train cars in varying states of disrepair, and a catwalk system. The player is dropped off at the southern end. The northern end is blocked off by debris from a rock slide, so the only way out is through a narrow path at the northeastern part of the gorge. This path between two cliffs leads directly to The Pitt Bridge.
