The Tank Track Robot was an utility robot used in agriculture before the Great War. After the War, it was used by the Calculator, the mad A.I. from Vault 0, and adapted for close range combat. It attacks with its spinning flails doing a great deal of damage. Though highly resistant it can be easily defeated because it can't fit through most doorways and lacks ranged attack.
[edit] Appearances
The Tank Track Robot appears only in Fallout Tactics.
[edit] Behind the scenes
The spinning flails are similar to those of the famed "Meerkat" mine-detonation vehicle currently being used in the Iraq Conflict. The spinning flails are lowered into the ground, where they make contact with mines and detonate them. This device is also similar to a WW2-era anti-mine device that was mounted to several Allied tank designs, called a Mine Flail.
